The one at 1:33 doesn't work. You can not get out of it without them seeing you if they are coming from hell. Also, most of them do not give an indication on where we should be staying and altough I understand this covers tons of them in a really quick and direct video, you should be cutting the useless one out and give more details on the more important ones. Ie, the first 2 are absolutely useless.

The point of the smoke at 1:33 is to eliminate the need to check 5 common positions when you come through the door way - headshot box at the back, close headshot box, on ramp, close wall and right of the close box. It means you only need to check hell and close right (of which you can just molotov anyway) which reduces the number of potential enemy positions from 7+ to 2+. Then as you push out, first guy swings round with crosshair close to the right edge of the smoke, and second guy can keep watching hell without swinging out. I appreciate your feedback surrounding my lack of explaining strategies involving these smokes, but this video solely targets which nade spots there are so you can refresh your memory for ones you used to know, or allow you to quickly learn lots of new ones. I am actually planning on creating some strategic videos based on the use of these smokes and flashes, which will aim to give a greater understanding to the kinds of places you can or should use what I show you in the videos, but doing that as well as showing the spots would bring these videos from minutes to hours. I apologise for the video not being what you expected, but hopefully you'll stick around for the strategic videos which will be much more tailored to what you want to see from these videos. In the mean time, definitely check out AdreN's or The War Owl's channel, as they have videos that match what you're looking for. Sorry for the long message! Have a good day!

I know 1 flash from T to outside, you just run throw it over the big box and it will bounce on the left of the red container and flash pretty much everyone. The good thing is that you can continue running cause it will pop behind the 2 little boxes that are next to the red container. If you don't see what I mean, I can show you in game ;)

yahya alasady I use the classic viewmodel, but these smokes don't line anything up via the viewmodel, so that shouldn't be a problem.

KDTV They're recorded on 128 tick, so all the jump ones will be accurate for 128 tick, but on 64 tick you just need to aim lower for the jump throws, and everything else works fine

y'know what ALL smoke videos lack? guy makes some great quick fast convenient decent proper smoke that lands on some point. BUT most newbie players (like me) don't have any idea in what situation it could be useful. it'd be nice if ALL that people who make smoke videos gave'em in a form of SOLUTION , like "this smoke could be useful for you in these 5/10/15 situations: if you ###, or you decided to ####". scenarios of their use, ok? implementation into tactics. that would make all such videos one zillion percent more useful for people. sorry i've copypasted this comment under some other videos, cuz i really felt it needed to be said & heard by you guys

rlywhocares Something similar is on the roadmap my friend, but it really comes down to this: If you put a smoke down, you can't see through it, and most of the time if people go through it you will get the upperhand and are more likely to kill them. With those two facts in mind, think about the smokes you see. Is this smoke to prevent vision and stop people gathering info on your position, or is it to prevent people coming through by making them an easy target if they did. Those are the two main use cases for over 90% of smokes, and seem to encompass the smokes you're referencing. I can make a video about why the smoke is useful and many other things, but until you've got the other basics down, there's a lot of other things to learn before you go on to specific smoke spots, and if you've learnt the basics then you should be able to use the two points above to understand why its a good smoke.

Jamiew_ - Quality CS GO Tuts and Vids thanks 4 answer. appreciate it. man, i get it. & yes, i do think by myself about what smoke would fit this or that situation. :) & i don't think there are "bad" or "useless" smokes in your vids. my point is this: e.g. i watched your mirage smokes videos, many of which are just incredible (those where u run & jump & before that even manage to find reference points). there are 28 smokes there. but with my rank & play hours valve system finds me games where opponents & me with my team play quite primitive, no specific "tactics", tricks, boosts etc (i'm newbie, rookie). so on my level of game i don't even think of any more complex playing until, of course, we lose, then i start thinking how could i improve that match & what i would do differently & maybe i need more trumps in my deck. so i remembered 6 basic fundamental smokes that i am sure that i will definitely need them. others just don't stay in memory cuz i can't even pretend situations when i can use 'em. or i can pretend such situations but there's such thing as timing so i can't solve that puzzle of "WHEN" exactly - at what second of round - should i use 'em. so these 2 factors make me not take them into consideration: 1. if i don't clearly pretend situation or scenario of team action that could use that smoke or 2. i get confused trying to figure out proper timing for smokes & consider further actions basically i wanted to say that it would have huge educational value because me & my opponents, which valve finds according to ranks are not at that level of game when such tactics & scenarios come to my head. & it's fine, it has to be step-by-step, i'm not complaining that they don't put me in match with global elites :) in other words, i simply made an offer to merge 2 types of youtube videos: 1. tactics 2. smokes in 1 new more convenient format honestly, i think they will have great success. cuz now someone who's looking to improve his game has to open tactics videos then open smokes videos & implement 2 to 1 kinda manually. merged format is what people truly need & what would really help them to learn something imho it's like buying car in one place & wheels in another. noone sells the whole car now on that niche of youtube xD

Make sure sv_cheats is 1, otherwise it won't work. If you've done that, then the only thing you could be doing wrong is typing it incorrectly, or you're on someone elses server without admin rights

These smokes all take far too long to set up and throw. Especially the garage smoke over silo, you can just throw it over box with more speed and accuracy. These smokes just overcomplicate things. You want to be able to rush quickly as T's before the CT's have even had time to prepare. All it needs is a quick smoke, not these time-wasting smokes that take an eternity to pop.

TheOneDeag Sure, if you're playing casual, I completely agree, all you're gonna do as a T is rush. However, when you're playing a good standard of competitive play, that is inherently the wrong attitude to take as a T, and that's where these smokes become incredibly useful. But don't take my word for it, watch high tier pro games, and you'll see that their standard executes on to sites and to take areas of the map all rely on smokes that are set up before hand, in the exact same way as this. For example, here's a wall of smokes by NiP meticulously set up so that each smoke lands in the perfect spot to smoke off the entire of A site. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5rJq3R4rpiafas Hopefully this helps you understand why they're extremely useful, and why they're always used. Bear in mind also, the smokes are slowed down in these videos, and throwing them in actual games is much faster as you'd have practiced them.

Jamiew_ - Quality CS GO Tuts and Vids Fair point. That's a pretty sweet A smoke in that video you linked. I meant no disrespect by the way, merely pointing out my bad experiences. I know what you mean, though. Practise makes perfect and I suppose these sorts of things take time to master. I just want to point out though that the smoke that blocks off T spawn doesn't really work out for me, my team or the enemy team smoking me off. As T's I always seem to have left the spawn area and standing by silo before that smoke has even landed. Good video, though. What I said earlier wasn't necessarily about the whole video, The A skylight smokes and B vent smokes were fantastic and I shall be trying them out! I recently ranked up to MG1 so I'm pretty chuffed with myself. I guess as I climb the ranks these smokes will start to become a lot more useful.

ethan laker Sure thing man - I don't have as many for Cbble as other maps, but I have never really tried to find that many as I didn't play it. It will likely take a couple weeks for me to find enough spots to fill a video, but yeah I'll definitely do one once I've found a bunch. And I'm glad you like the book!
