Students weak in Mathematics fear that they will not be able to able to handle Basic Numeracy questions of CSAT-UPSC. Mathematics and BN seem to have the same syllabus of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Modern Mathematics, still they are two completely different subjects.
Mathematics and BN have different types of questions and test different skills, knowledge nuggets and their application.
Mathematics, taught in schools, is focused on learning Mathematical concepts, strict procedures and calculation steps to arrive at a precise solution, formulas, equations, deriving and proving theorems, etc.
CSAT is an Aptitude Test, where Basic Numeracy questions test your ability to reason in a quantitative manner. Your sense of mathematics and comfort with numbers is tested.
Ability to solve problems with complicated and tricky language in a shorter amount of time, while maintaining accuracy is tested on BN-CSAT.
So are you ready to prove the sharpness of your brain by cracking more questions in a shorter amount of time, while maintaining accuracy, though the language of questions is hell-bent on tricking and confusing you.
