Just bought my kit for my '73 from Eckler's! My car just came back from paint and body less my new front bumper and light bucket assemblies (he kept them to re-shoot). This leaves me all the room I need to mount this new kit and hook up to my newly-painted light assemblies.

Thanks so much for this! I have this kit ready to go on my '80 as part of a complete electrical system overhaul (along with removing the vacuum system). Would you recommend taking the headlights completely out of the car as they have been in this video?

It would be unnecessary to remove them like I did for the demonstration....all of this can be done with the lights still in place. Lyle

Good Video. You say there is only one wire hook up, and it goes to the stock switch. My 68 switch can not be assessable unless the whole dash is removed. I hope you have the wire color down stream that I can splice into. Your video did not show that, which is very important for us working on these old old cars. I see it comes with a electronic device which has to do something. Where is that mounted? Thanks, Rod

There are actually 2 wires. One goes to the alternator, the other hooks in to a sidemarker lamp. No need to touch the switch in the dash. Lyle

Link to the control module? My Miata motors came from eBay and have no pigtails... Everything's installed but I just have 4 wires out of each. I know the green is indicator lamp

I ordered a kit and I got no connectors in the kit. This is the harness and the wires I got. Maybe you know what connectors in the light switch to connect them to? I was going to upload a picture, but KZbin doesn't provide for that. If I had an email address, I could send it to you. Anyway, at the end of the dual harness that connects to both motors and the relay are a black a blue and a red wire, stripped. Any Ideas as to what connectors on the light switch they would connect to?

Just tried installing this in my '82 but the fitment of the motors against the radiator is too tight to complete the install, even after jamming them (hard) into the radiator fins. Not only do I now have bent radiator fins, it seems the only solution is to drill new mounting holes in the actuator headlight assembly which is very frustrating considering this was supposed to fit out of the box.

I see a lot of people getting these conversion kits say that a slot needs to be cut for the actuator arm to move now. Is that actually true?

Not with this kit. there is another kit on the market that doesn't use actual Corvette motors or module, and that one requires more customization to install than ours. Lyle

Can you remove all the vacuum lines and associated parts once the installation is complete. I have a 75 convertible.

You can eliminate the vacuum actuators and the vacuum relays under the nose, but I would leave the connections to the vacuum reservoir in the front frame extension--you only want to thin out the headlight vacuum that is no longer needed--the rest of the vacuum system has to remain functional for HVAC and other non-headlight functions. What gives the signal to open and close the headlights? There is no switch in the Kit.

That is because this system hooks into your existing wiring and uses your original headlight switch to actuate the headlights.

Once again, this is an excellent instructural video. It would have been nice if you showed the actual conversion in operation and the amount of time to get both headlights in sync with one another. Is there such a conversion for the C3 Wiper Door? Save the Wave.

The Headlights sync automatically, as they are both controlled by the same brain box.

@@csvette I only asked in that the C4 could occasionally be out of sync, although nothing like the original C3 setups. What about an electric conversion for the wiper door?

There is an electric conversion for the wiper door as well, but it is from a different manufacturer. That system costs about $1300, and while it works really well, I think that is too much $$$.
