Luckily theres a lot of Shane’s matches on KZbin and feel beyond blessed to be able to witness some of his greatness. Seems like a very good human being based on what i have seen Oman’s heard of him. Knowing a little bit of his background im very happy he got to where he’s gotten getting through the obstacles in life his had to go through. Im 28 years old. Started playing 2/3 months ago and have noticed some improvement in my game and This is thanks to Shane. The cue control this man has is second to none. 🐐

I'm sure he had the time of his life playing one of the best players in the planet he knew even though he had a good start a good lead he wasn't going to win the event because he's playing one of the best players that pretty much doesn't let you shoot most of the time cuz he's so methodical and knows what he's doing with the cue ball in which I'm referring to shame but Rory had a hell of a start Shane had a bit of a rough start on his own term but I'm happy that Rory play his absolute best against the number one in the country

i'm just going to address all the common comments here. 1. the table is 7-foot. they use a 7-foot because the balls are more likely to bunch together, making break and runs less common. for huge tables, go watch the 10-ball bigfoot challenge. 2. 8 ball on the break doesn't need to mean a win. the only reason people play like that is because on a coin op table, you can't get the ball back. 3. a shot clock doesn't make sense for 8-ball pool. 8-ball is all about smart pattern play, adding a shot clock would just diminish the quality of play. 4. o'sillivan would get his ass kicked. if you don't believe me, watch ronnie o'sullivan vs johnny archer in the ipt. 5. efren reyes was good, but, he's an old ass man now. let efren have his retirement. 6. first place prize was like $11000. the reason it's so low is because it shared a prize pool with the us open 10-ball. also, the us open 9-ball in 2019 had a first place prize of $50000. the mosconi cup also has a prize pool of about $50000. i once played a tournament at a college and won a t-shirt. so, idk what the complaint is.

For a professional game of pool, why are these players racking their own balls? Have seen referee's or some neutral person doing the racking in other Tournaments!
@Billybillybillyrocking4 жыл бұрын
Very old comment but I'll throw my 2 cents in. Players like it when they are able to rack their own because they can make sure it's "done right". Refs can make mistakes and can dictate and outcome almost. The ref just oversees it to make sure they are touching and looks good, but basically trust and fair play is adhered to by the players. I like seeing this rule set more.
@boomertunes99244 жыл бұрын
Only one downside, that fat guy sometimes will take a year to rack. At least Shane doesn't.
@chrisuribe5724 жыл бұрын
Benito Mussolini the slightest gap in certain places can throw the whole break off that’s why Rory was taking his time, those racks they use sometimes get bent a little and it can cause the balls to sit funny throwing everything off

What's up with the bar size table? How long has professional play been on bar size??
@6969smurfy7 жыл бұрын
Just depends on what tournament/event sponsors put up the cash! I know one of the best bar table players in the world. When he'd plays pros on big Ts he would lose more often, when he plays them on bar boxes he would win more often ... so there are + & - to table size. & that is up to the sponsors.

Can anyone tell what size is the table and the balls? The balls look gigantic in this video. Thanks

after watching a lot of snooker and coming here to watch this, seems like a kids game on a small table

Agreed. Surely snooker players come to these tournaments to make a few hundred thousand dollars on the weekend?
