32:42 Sorry, Kenny but the terms are not interchangeable. There is a small nuance between them. - A *carom* is a shot where the cue ball hits an object ball (let's say the 1 ball) and then the 1 ball goes into the pocket after hitting another object ball (let's say the 9 ball) along the way. The glance from the 9 to the pocket is the carom. - A *billiard* is a shot where the cue ball hits the 1 and then the _cue ball_ hits another object ball (let's say the 9 ball) that then goes into a pocket. Regarding the comments on the commentary. I agree with both sides. Some of the discussion is really valuable...when they are talking about the table as it lays while they're talking. The rest of the time, when they're talking about other events or other things, then they're really just distracting us from focusing on the match.

at 33:30 discussion on difference between billiard and carom. Billiard is cue ball deflecting off an object ball and hitting another object ball. Carom is an object ball that deflects off another object ball.

at 32:40...[Q] the diff between carom and a billiard....[A] a carom is when an object ball is shot and kisses off another object ball....a billiard is when the cue ball kisses off an object ball and the cue ball continues on to strike another object ball

I thought that in a carom the cue ball contacts first an object ball, then the cue ball contacts another object ball. In a billiard, the cueball contacts an object ball, and that object ball contacts another one, like a simple combination.

that is correct. i play "carambola" or carom and the goal is to hit 2 balls with the cue ball in 1 shot. people always get confused with a carom or a billiard shot.

+sanferrera It's the reverse. When the cueball rebounds off a ball and into another ball, it's a billiard. The easy way to remember is that that is how you play the game billiards -- by hitting both balls with the cue ball.

Ko is a great player but he has a long way to go before he's the superstar a lot of people think he is. By the time he's 30 he'll be unbeatable, but for now I'll still take Dennis hands down. (And yes, I know Ko recently beat Dennis.)

I know Ko is a "world beater" but I still think SVB is the better player. Some of the shots that fell for Ko in this match were ridiculous. I'm not saying Ko is lucky but it seemed like luck was on his side in this match. Ex: 3:40

Look at the first hot of shane.. His safety is not so good. If they play prime efren in a long race match.. I think efren can easily both these two. Though they are the greatest of this generation.

i like ken, but he does talk non-stop. the thing being discussed about his voice i believe is this. ask him to close his lips when he swallows. his knowledge of what is happening on the table and his ability to talk about it far out-weigh any faults he may, or may not, have.
