I quit a month ago. Two weeks ago my husband was rushed to hospital, unable to breathe and having a suspected heart attack. I so desperately felt like a cigarette but I told myself I should be ashamed for using my husbands situation to selfishly say it wasn’t my fault that I started again. I never had one, my husband is on the road to recovery, he still needs to see a specialist but the immediate emergency is over. If I can get through that and not have one, the rest of you have got this, don’t make excuses. Good luck everyone.

Hi Chris, I have subbed to your most helpful and life saving channel, thank you. I enjoyed the content on this, but also I can maybe add to what you have commented on as follows. I have a photos of my beautiful niece's who visit us, they are very young, and look at them to remind me of that I don't want me associated with filthy smelly breath, clothes odour, and a bad example to family or any one else any more. Also every day, what I would of spent on cigs goes to my nieces when they visit which is quite a lot of money, that is my strongest forte on quitting for a while now. I visited my local cathedral one day, and something told me inside from above to quit, as you have so much to live for. I am internally spiritually so happy within myself, life is so much better. Thanks again and God bless you.

Well done, we are enlightened, blessed, and stress free from the criminal damage cigs try to destroy our bodies and soul.

Lol, I can relate to this. On recent failed quit attempts I've opened my bin bag and surgically removed roll up ends, then using nail scissors trimmed the burnt bits and made a two or three roll ups from what tobacco I've salvaged.

Trash? That’s nothing. For years I’d pick up discarded butts rather than buy a pack. I told myself if I didn’t buy I wasn’t really a smoker 🙄
