@ChrisSofos putting those carbs on my gsxr, and then trying to get the rubbers from the airfilter on. Was a real nightmare...Thanx
@ChrisSofosАй бұрын
@@Ericinos they can really be a pain in the ass. Especially if they haven't been removed for so many years. A bit of silicon paste and some heat can do miracles though 🙂

I have an 88 GSXR 750 I'm restoring right now. Unfortunately I got the engine back together and I found out it smokes, especially at high rpm. I traced the problem back to a few worn valve guides--it's sucking oil into the cylinders. So now I have to take the head off and replace them. Oh well, wrenching is part of the fun.
@ChrisSofos2 ай бұрын
@vintagetrikesandquads4012 you're absolutely correct! It is part of fun. You get dirty with oil, it passes you off, you can't find the solution and you drink a lot of coffee. But, in the end, the feeling of satisfaction you get, pays off. Good luck with the cylinder head 👍

@ are you gonna post when you continue and finish and ride your slingshot?
@ChrisSofos2 ай бұрын
@Bmcdanman123 yes, I have in mind about a presentation video when I'm done with this motorcycle. But then I have a Kawasaki ZX900R to restore, and a friend's Suzuki TL1000R engine full rebuilt. Not to mention the cars. It seems that you'll be seeing me for another decade 😅😅
