Spent 10 years as a switchman for the CNW. I worked mostly In the yard flat switching. We didn't have a hump. Was fun kicking cars. Looking at these guys on the hump...oh boy...not sure this would be a good choice during the winter months. I bet no matter which way you face, the COLD winter air blows right in your face on top of that hump.

Thanks. Mexico Farms tower is closed, but they still use the yard. Easy access from the C&O Canal at left. Just east of the tower CSX crosses into West Virginia, where it remains until Harper's Ferry.

Gardner Smith What is the nearest town and highway route, (highway between towns that is), to this location...

You're all lucky to still have the CPL signals. L&N country had our searchlight type signals replace with the hooded so-called Darth Vader signals recently. No quip against CSX, they gotta what they can to improve; just saying the presence of the old signals (and towers) keep memories alive. Thanks for posting this.

Great vid thanks for sharing! I like the close up shots of the diesels, something that most people tend to overlook. There's some nice detail there. Watching this I almost forgot I was in my living room and was standing there with you. Now if only you could make a diesel smell come from my computer!
