CTA Connections' videos of the brown line are really jinxed. The first one, about 2015, was plagued by trackwork slowdowns (between every stop south of Addison/Lincoln)....this one, by the annoying "whistling"...and the latest one, 2021 in a winter storm, has the windshield (with no wiper) clouded up the the sleet. Camera and mic mounted outside? Is that the wind noise? Turn off the sound to enjoy a view of Chicago at night. To those commenting on the few people on the platform on the inbound leg of this circle trip, it's evening on a warm night at 8PM and few people are commuting inbound at that time. Now if you watch after the train goes around the downtown "Loop" and starts its return journey (43:36 in the video) there are some "outbound" commuters from the CBD to the northern areas of the City and suburbs. The outbound portion of the video happens around 8:45 PM, after the evening rush is over.

Unfortunately the whistle is caused by the aerodynamics of the train itself, and is not something that the operator can do anything about. I imagine it must be quite annoying for them. The 2400, 2600 and 3200 series L's all had this situation due to front door design. There is a one foot strip of safety rubber near the handle that was installed to minimize the damage one would endure to their fingers if that door slammed shut on them while walking between cars.
