one thing for sure tho it would actually make sense to combine the brown and orange lines since they both run into the loop and they share all the tracks heading to south west and north aswell so i think combining the orange and brown line actually makes sense in my opinion
@BurjTransit4 ай бұрын
I think the lines are separate so they can both access more parts downtown. If they we're combined, they'd either only run on Lake and Wabash or only Wells and Van Buren. It would likely be more efficient though so with the current shortage of operators, it might not be a bad idea.

@@BurjTransityea true but they could operate anti direction wells south and wabash north but yea true it’s not a bad idea but i think keeping the orange and brown line is alr bc the trip would be like an hour and 30 minutes of driving to kimball and midway as the blue forest park branch is very poor condition pass imd and it takes like almost an hour and 40 minutes to get to ohare and back addison to ohare is abt 25 minutes to get the airport but forest park is like abt 30 to 40 minutes u should talk abt the forest park branch in ur next video

Southport also has a lowline farmers market every Tuesday!

I think the Low Line is a slightly humorous play off the well known High Line in Manhattan , which was a repurposed elevated train that was no longer in use.

woah right out the gate hating on western, its got a dunks, thats gotta be worth somethin francisco is my home station, i just wish the west side of it was fully featured with accessible entrance and a ventra machine. i had to walk all the way to the other end with someone to use the machine there, at that point walking to kedzie would have been closer to my house. armitage is cool, I like the transition with the red line tunnel coming up through the middle. at diversey northbound there is a little bit of kink in the track, if youre in the last car youll notice it, by the time your car reaches it the train should be going fairly quick. once i was a non revenue (no stops) run and wasnt ready for it and it just about tossed me out of my seat because we hit it going way faster than usual.

I'm saddened that the Western stop will look the same. They've been getting rid of the rust and repainting it this week, so I was hoping the station would also be changed to look somewhat attractive. Ah, well. Edit: Oh, yeah. I agree with you with the Harold Washington Library stop. I went late evenings and I would freak out with the random people shouting out of nowhere.

I visited western station with my dad when we took a trip to Chicago just to see the piece of the Berlin Wall. Just for that reason alone it should not be last. What other transit station just casually has a historical artifact just sitting there by the entrance? (Besides Rome)

Ok, i love the at grade stations, but I dont think any of then could be in my top 5 because of their lack of canopy. Those platforms are long, and in strong precipitation, everyone waits in the 'mezzanines' or in the heat lamp areas.

I feel like this channel is rushing out videos too quickly , and as a result , not meeting the quality expected. Half of these station reviews are too surface-level to be meaningful or even accurate.

Nah wellington is by far the worst one, so completely unnecessary. Most brown line stops are about a half mile to a mile apart, and wellington is two blocks from Belmont and Diversey. Who does it even serve?? There is no bus route on wellington either, it is just an absolute waste. Makes the already slow brown line commute much worse.

It serves the Illinois Masonic Medical Center and gets a good amount of ridership. It is actually quite convenient.

considering most of the riders ship on wellington comes from hostipal staff and patients, it is one of the most neccessay for health, safety, and socio-economic accessibility to that service
