So, I bought a 2011 CTS-V Coupe! Most of my swaps featured parts from this car (supercharger parts, 6p brembos, etc), so I figured why not. I didn't think I'd LOVE this car as much as I do!!!
So, because the car was stock, I ASSUMED the CTS-V lid would have the common collapsed brick and decided to order a DMS reinforced and milled ZL1 lid, as well as a CSF heat exchanger. This is more of a video showing the work involved, which isn't too difficult at all. Not shown in the video, I got a muffler delete done, painted the grills black, had the chrome around the windows, fender vents, and chrome on the trunk wrapped black, and installed a Mighty Mouse catch can.
In the near future I will be swapping the cam, installing an ATI balancer, full exhaust, injectors, fuel pumps, and getting a dyno tune (and much more). I only want ~650whp, which isn't hard to do.
