CTS-V VS Corvette. What One Is A Better Buy?

My Dad and I had a little father son competition.. we bet each other we could find the most fun car under 20 grand. Today we put them up next to each other to see which one of these old GM performance cars can take home the crown! CTS-V1 VS C5 Convertible

So. The question is quite simple. CTS-V1 or C5 Convertible/base?

V all day every day. I have an identical V, and it’s the only GM car that I’ve had that has been built well enough to warrant keeping. At 170K miles now and nearly 10 years of daily driving, she’s now a garage queen, and slowly being restored. There is something special about the V1, so I plan on holding on to it and enjoying it. Thanks for the comparison video.

I want a c5 pretty bad, just a base model is fine with me. Can find decent ones for around 13 I just have to many kids to haul around. Guess I start dreaming of a v now.

As a former V1 owner, if you need more than 2 seats V1 is better………..everything else C5 is better

@@PerformanceOnWheels All the above. The V1 is fun, but the shifter and questionable rear diff are real mood killers when driving a “fun” car.

The CS short throw fixed alot of that for me. I put sticky tires on the v so I don't even worry about the diff anymore it won't lose traction

@@PerformanceOnWheels yeah I had a modified Hurst in mine, but it is what it is with the remote set up it has. Just make sure you have a backup diff waiting 🤣

I definitely don't wanna buy one I'd rather sell it first
