CTV's Final "I Believe" Montage Preceded By Brian Williams' Closing Comments From London

Brian Williams wraps up his final broadcast of Olympic Primetime from the London 2012 Olympic Games after the Closing Ceremony. Williams comments are followed by CTV's final montage showcasing key events from the Games, featuring the "I Believe" anthem sung by Nikki Yanofsky.

damn, this is a real kicker. I can't explain the feeling. Goosebumps, butterflies, it's all there. I am very proud of what Canada had accomplished, and congrats to all the nations. Following your country through a competition like the Olympics or the World Cup is something indescribably amazing.

I am sure Canadians would of loved to have more medals but I think i speak for all of us in saying we are proud of all our athletes now matter what place they came in there is always a next time that you can try again so you did not let us down at all

My favorite part was when he said "Jump for joy, Canada! You have a gold medal!" However, i am so proud of all the Canadian athletes in this Olympics.They are amazing! :)

Let's not get wrapped up in nostalgia. COBMC has set a standard in Canadian Olympic broadcast coverage that the CBC of yesteryear cannot possibly match. CBC only has 2 or 3 broadcast properties to show the games. COBMC/CTV had 5 or 6, plus the online coverage. 2008's CBC coverage is not good enough for these days. CBC will have to seriously step up, amongst budget cuts and belt tightening to bring coverage at minimum the same as CTV/COBMC. These are the days of social media, tablets and HDTV.

and let's not even begin to debate paralympic coverage. CBC has a lot of work to do to prove themselves. CTV has had two games to show what they are capable of and they outperformed.

Actually, CBC is going to use some elements of the Consortium in Sochi: CTV, TSN,and Sportsnet are all going and will broadcast events. We might still see a return of the song.

While I appreciate that they wanted to showcase Canadian athletes I think it would have been nice if they had showed Tom Daly's bronze in diving after everything he went through.
