CTV's "I Believe" Montage After Sidney Crosby's Gold Medal Goal in Men's Hockey

10 years ago. I remember jumping out of my seat and high fiving and hugging so many people. I couldn't believe it. We all couldn't believe it. My parents got to watch the '72 Summit Series and witness the Henderson goal. I got to experience "The Golden Goal" with Crosby. I wonder what the next generation will get to experience. I still get goosebumps thinking of that magical game and that magical day.

I was watching this game with my dad in a bar when this goal happend, and for the first time ever i witnessed strangers hugging strangers, grown men crying, its almost as if time slowed down, almost like a movie. Everytime i watch this it just make me feel even more proud to be Canadian :) I

Every time I watch this, the emotions that I felt when it first happened all come rushing back, and the tears of joy come running down my face again. It was our country's crowning achievement to a super-stellar Winter Olympics, and I consider it an honour to have witnessed this. Moments like these make me real damn proud to be Canadian. :)

I think one thing that is absolutely magical about this montage, is when Crosby scores and is jumping up and down with his arms in the air like he's the king of the world, you see 20 some odd grown men celebrating with him just like when they were little kids playing hockey whether it be on ice, on the street, or wherever. Not too mention the fact that an ENTIRE country is screaming their lungs out in celebration. Definitely the loudest country on the planet at that time. Thanks for the post!

when crosby scored even my sisters who don't like hockey jumped off the couch and screamed i jumped like ten feet in the air(not literally) screaming my lungs out. i cried during O Canada and ssang it loud and proud the greatest moment of my life now everytime i sing O Canada i cant help but swell with pride thank you Sid :)

oh man, i always get hard core chills everytime i watch the goal, than the crowd erupting. my science teacher told me that before the goal, if you walked outside, you wouldn't hear anything, than suddenly everyone would be going crazy. i wish i could've gone to vancouver during the olympics, i can only imagine what it'd be like..

@@DannyLeigh9 Yes Gold it was in a 3-0 win over the Swedes. Toews, Crosby and Kunitz each scored their first goal of the tournament. Good time to net the puck. The Olympics aren't the same without NHL players.

i remember sitting with about 20 of my friends watching the hockey game at a coffee store just blocks away from robson, when we scored we were absolutely ecstatic! we ran up to robson where the big party had begun and I had a new love for my country, my home, Canada

This is definitely the hockey moment of my life. Sitting in the living room with all my relatives , even those who didnt like hockey. The fear we felt when Parise tied the game , but the relief and incredible pride we felt when Syd scored that winning goal. What an incredible moment!

Another moment I'll never forget. All by myself for some damn reason lying down on my couch hugging a pillow and almost in tears just praying for a Canada goal. The minute Crosby scored I screamed and jumped so high that I almost hit my ceiling and my dad scared in the other room because of my reaction. Favourite Olympic Games ever.
