Hi Paul !! I recall not so long ago...you were so filled with sadness and doom. The results and affects of the cancer thruout your body was devastating for you. So glad you’re doing well Paul. The three people I would invite to a dinner party are Brian Cox, the physicist because I just find him fascinating to listen to and love to learn about cosmology. The comedian Peter Kaye because I just find him absolutely hilarious and Nigel Farage MP because he’s an extremely intelligent man and is probably the only person who can sort out the shit the United Kingdom is in at the moment 😂

So, Paul, you first came to my attention in the summer of 2023, when my first ever girlfriend left me without saying a single thing or even giving me any indication she was going to leave. I was devastated. I was 50 when I met her (I’m 57 now) and at that stage of my life I had just assumed I would never know what it would be like to have someone in my life. Early on, I watched every one of your videos. You were so inspirational to me. There you were fighting so hard to stay alive, while I had lost my will to go on living. I felt so guilty about this. I remember that you used to cry a lot in your videos, and I’m conscious that you’ve stopped doing that. This has been a transformative experience for you, hasn’t it, as you’ve learned to accept what’s happening, and to adapt to the changes that are completely out of your control. Myself, I’m much better now. I truly believe that the only person who can make me happy is me. Do I miss my girlfriend - of course I do. But there’s nothing I can do about it, so I might as well try to be happy, and to appreciate everything that I do have (one thing being my health… which I need to remind myself not to take for granted, which we tend to do when we’re healthy). I’m glad things are going well for you at the moment. I’m reminded of something a friend of mine used to say to his kids all the time… that, in a way, life is just a series of waves that roll in and batter us, and that every now and then a huge one will come in and knock us down and flatten us. Why do we pick ourselves up and carry on… it’s simply to get knocked down again. So enjoy the time in between waves, because it’s a truly wonderful, magical, precious time. There’s a lot of learning going on here. Thanks for getting back up again, Paul.
