Very well done tutorial! The fact that you tell them what you’re going to do -THEN do it... makes it so much easier for us to learn Cubase. I wish that more people would present material like this - as we beginners are NOT at the same level of experience as the one who is taking the time to help us out. Thank you for remembering that!

Excellent tutorials. Simple things such as repeatedly saying key commands help the student to retain information. Using the same music files and following Jay and Jon as they go along is a great way to learn. I'll definitely be subscribing to the full course. Couldn't fail to benefit from it.

Amazing tutorial! I moved from Ableton to Cubase recently, and I'm quite confused with it's interface. Your videos helped me a lot, thanks!

Enjoyed the four tutorials greatly. I've used Cubase for years, and just the quality of life tips you had in these videos left me with a need for more. The demo song isn't really the genre I'm used to, but I like using it to learn the newer tools in Cubase 11 (I used Cubase 5 for years, because...reasons). Anyway, decided to buy Cubase Pro in January to be more legit and pay back what I effectively owed, but the interface was just overwhelming. I feel like I got my groove back and feel inspired to write more music. I also picked up the music theory course because I find myself resorting back to the same typical chord progressions and I want to break out of my mold. I haven't started it yet, but if the quality of it stands up to what you've created here, I'm in for a treat. Thanks guys. I have music on my channel I created with Cubase 5 and self taught knowledge, I think these tutorials will bring my music to the next level. Cheers.

Thank you for the video and I've learned so much. Question? I use Logic Pro X and its old and I'm waiting for the new Mac to come out because I cannot upgrade and looking at your video, I don't know if you use a PC, but, mostly you do. Even though I've been learning logic, it seems a awful lot to spend and waiting to upgrade and some of the software will not run in the new Mac. Any suggestions? I wouldn't even know what Cubase, if I decide to go that way, to pick!!!!!!!

Yes you can, although they call them something different for some unknown reason, but yeah you can :)

At 00:32, Jay re-sizes the upper section by dragging the up-and-down cursor downwards. I can't replicate that on my setup (Cubase Pro 11) - or, rather, I can but only by a small amount and I can't drag the divider down as far as this. My window setup looks identical and I can't find anywhere on Google/Steinberg forum, how to re-size it any greater. Can anyone help?
@Borntoproduce3 жыл бұрын
Does your Windows setup have a 'scaling' setting. (like 125%, 150% etc)? This is the only reason I know it may look different.
@kevinsavage27513 жыл бұрын
@@Borntoproduce You guys are amazing. Friday night, even in lockdown, and you get back to me with sound advice. My windows scaling was 125%. I changed it to 100% which was too small, then tried 110% but that looked disproportionate. I'll keep playing around with the customized scaling, or go back to 125% and live with it. Either way, your suggestion was spot on, and delivered well into weekend down time, so all credit to you!
