Thanks for sharing. I too am a martial artist and was diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome. I had surgery in March 2023 and I still have numbness in my bottom two fingers. I would speak with your Ortho and ask is you may have Martin Gruber syndrome. I have a scheduled appointment with my Orthopedic to see if that might be a contributor to my continued numbness.

Hip replacement surgery later this year for me. Right now I’ve had to adjust my forms without the kicks because I can’t raise my knee. But like Ramsey Dewey says in every video, I “get out there and train”. I was working on Choy Li Fut hand drills this morning, and trying not to get distracted by my hip making popping noises. 😂😂😂

I hope your surgery will be successful! I had an ACL surgery with 3 screws in my knee as well. I am happy to hear that you are staying active!

This situation is typical for nerve compression and it is good that you had surgery. But the numbness will most likely remain partially, although you will adapt to it and it will not bother you. Don't get stuck on this, diversify your training for the rats, hand, forearm, shoulder. And I think it will be useful to consult a physical therapist who has experience with athletes

Thanks and I have been building the muscles for the hand.

How long after your surgery would you say you were able to do full range of motion again for things like pushups? I'm in the middle of being evaluated for surgery for this as well. Cheers, and hopefully the numbness eventually goes away.

I didn’t do full pushups until at least 3 months later, but I was also cautious and watch out for any types of pain. Just make sure to listen to your body, since we all heal differently. Best of luck to you!

What exercises should be avoided if you have this syndrome?
@continuousfist2 ай бұрын
@@manshanxinyu i noticed pushups would cause popping or sliding of the nerve. Also, shoulder presses didn't do well for me either. Hope this helps.

Its been year your surgery had done …..does your numbness in last two fingers goes away or not….does it recover 100% ….if not then how much your numbness goes away…..im also suffering from same condition….plzz tell me"?
@continuousfist48 минут бұрын
@@ahmadnaveed1873 it has not been 100%. I would say 90% recovered. However, there is no more popping of the nerve when I do pushups. My hand is still strong enough to grip while doing pullups.
