CUCV M1028 Project Part 4 - Blow The Doors Off This Thing!

In this episode we're going to take care of those saggy, noisy doors and learn how to fix up the side mirrors on this militarized Squarebody Chevy.

When you sand on that CARC paint try not to breath the dust it’s nasty stuff.

Yes it is! I wear a full-face mask when sanding these things. Probably should have had at least a cloth mask on even when just cutting the pins really.

I was thinking, since the truck is a hybrid volt system. What if 1 battery and alternator deleted and use a step up transformer at the starter to start it. I would not do that, but do you think that would be possible?

While I prefer to keep the original setup with 24v, you can convert these to 12 volt systems very simply. It would be much easier to swap in a 12v starter than it would be to do any kind of step-up, IMO. Here's a helpful link... www.thetruckstop.us/forum/files/nn10.pdf
