M1028A2 CUCV Project: - BATTERIES DRAINING - FIXED! Changed out passenger alternator.

After testing the charging system, the evidence indicated it was highly likely that my passenger alternator was not working properly. I obtained a rebuilt alternator from Hillbilly Wizard in PA, installed it, and this video shows how I confirmed that my problem was solved. Need an isolated ground alternator like this:

Is it possible to go over each section of the wiring in the engine compartment? From the batteries to the glow plugs... Would like to verify how its ran before moving foward.... thanks

Thanks for all the information about the alternators on mv 86 m009 but I need to know what settings on the multimeter are used to ck. Batteries, alternators? Please get back to me. Thanks Tom .

Just bought a CUCV and having the same issue. New batteries are still dying after a few days.

@@VermontPrepper had to replace both alternators and belts. Keeping charged now.

Could a person just use a 24 volt hummve alternator?

I am not sure about that. I do not know how the power is split up between the two in my engine. I know that the starter system is 24v, but everything else is 12v
