Took me a few months to get used too. A really consistent hit. Efficient power transfer, great feel/feedback. Elevated my game i would say 20-30%.

I’m not a great player but I tried many carbon fiber shafts out and ended up going with the cuetec mostly because it had a solid hit and because of the large white ferrule. I personally never could really get used to having no white pad or ferrule, but I will say from my personal experience the Revo is different than all of them just due to the fact that I immediately noticed on slower spin shots that you had to judge for swirl instead of squirt because of how little the Cue ball deflected. But I will also say that it seems to be all by itself compared to others due to the fact that the deflection is so little that swerve has to be taken into account as well as the fact that I found myself over cutting many of my balls dude is being induced throw that was greater with that Q than any of my other carbon fiber shafts. I didn’t like it but it definitely is different.

i own a Cynergye 12,5MM, Ignite en GO shaft (12,4). I love all three of them. They each have their pro's and cons. Power wise the Ignite has most power and accuracy but also hardest to control, The cynergy has more feel but a little less power (still a lot though), the GO shaft has the best sound and plays kinda similar to the cynergy. If you can put in the hours to master the ignite that would/is my choice of shaft. I you have less time or playing on super fast cloth the GO or Cynergy would be the better choice. Just my 2 cents...... :-)

I recently switched from a revo to a Cynergy 11.8 and I love it. I love my Z3 but didn't want to she'll out another 500 for an 11.8 so ended up trading my 12.4 Revo for 11.8 Cynergy. I'm loving it and feels much better to me then the Revo. Also could be it's smaller diameter too

The Cynergy is a very good shaft. Good call. If you love it, stick with it. There is no point in keep chasing new and "better" shafts all the time. Naturally, if they come out with something new and exciting - it _can_ be interesting to switch.

100% agree with you that all quality made carbon fiber shafts are about the same, I switched from maple to carbon only because I hate feeling small dents in the wood shafts, otherwise I would have not changed. Even my 25 year old maple shaft was fine to play with, I don't really notice much difference in playability. No adjustment period for me, I bought a Mezz cue with the Ignite shaft.

Yea, as pool players we are prone to changes in the equipment (table, cloth, pockets, tips, cues)...and it can effect your game for a little while. However, once you crack the CF code..you won't go back!

I tried many different carbon fiber shafts and I agree that they are all similar except for the Revo that shaft is on a different field than the rest not saying it’s better I’m just saying that it is different. I noticed many more over cut shots due to spin induced throw that was greater would spend being transferred more by the shaft but the worst thing for me was I noticed that with any slower span shots you had to adjust for swerve more than squirt.
@CueListings
@CueListings 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, by "spin induced throw", are you thinking about squirt/defelction? If so, my experience is that most LD wooden and carbon fiber shafts have pretty much the same (low) deflection.
@fishblade2
@fishblade2 3 жыл бұрын
@@CueListings sorry I meant to say cut induced throw. The increased spin produced from revo usually over cut my shots compared to any other carbon fiber shaft I used.

I would like to add in on the shot in the intro where you played the 6 to follow 1 rail for the 7. Maybe it is just personal preference, but I would keep a high angle on the 6 to go 2 rails into the line of the 7. What do you think?
@CueListings
@CueListings 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Do you mean when I shot the 6 in the very first rack (the tip)? If so, I did not use any rails when I made the 6. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYHRaoJ9Z6-ge5o I am probably misunderstanding your question?
@CueListings
@CueListings 3 жыл бұрын
Or did you mean this 6 ball? kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYHRaoJ9Z6-ge5o If so, yes - you can def play as you said, but I had a little too much angle to go down to the short rail and back out into the angle again.
@cungifungi
@cungifungi 3 жыл бұрын
@@CueListings yes, it is that shot. What I said is that there is an alternative on how to play the 6 to the 7 by stunning off the 5 in order to get a high angle on the 6 ball to send it 2 rails into the line of the 7. What do you think of this shot as an alternative to the one you shot on the video? Thanks

Will you please give more details on getting positions using the natural cue ball pAth and getting position in general?
@CueListings
@CueListings 3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for posting your question. And, boy did you pick an important subject! In my humble opinion, this is key to simplifying the game. Once you learn to play using the natural cue ball path, the game suddenly seems way easier to "master". First, you need to practice understanding what is actually the cue ball's natural path (learn about the tangent line to understand that). Then, you need to practice your speed control. Once in a while, you may need to adjust the angle using some sidespin, but most often you'll find that the angles are doing the job for you. Now, running an entire rack using only natural angles won't happen too often. However, you should always try to leave your cue ball in a position where you've identified that your next shot will then be using the natural angle to get you to where you need to be. Sometimes it may mean that the shot is slightly more difficult (compared to a straight-in shot), but it's well worth the extra effort since it greatly enhances your chances of running the rack. Check out this simple drill I am using myself on this topic. I rarely do drills, but I find this one useful. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5K1Z4SKeteNirc

A very informative vid! 👍 Wish I had your cueball-handling skill! 😊 I’m a casual pool player and I’ve never used low-deflection (LD) or carbon fibre shafts, just hardwood pool cue. If I was to upgrade to an LD shaft, do you suggest I get an LD wood shaft first (since, I’m assuming, feedback is better since I’m used to hardwood cue) OR should I just go for a carbon fibre (less maintenance, warp and ding resistant, etc)?
@CueListings
@CueListings 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Glenn. Thank you for the kind words! In regards to your question; "Should I go to LD wood or a carbon fiber shaft from a traditional hardwood shaft?" My clear recommendation would be; go directly to a carbon fiber shaft. If you chose the correct one, the feeling, sound, and hit will be very similiar to a wooden shaft. However, a carbon fiber shaft is WAY more durable, it does not warp and it keeps its consistency over time. Wooden shafts can warp, get dings and behave differently depending on the conditions in the pool hall.
