Theory: the reason she's "sick" is because in the 3rd millenium, the prime universe has drifted far enough away from the mirror universe that her molecules are coming apart. Thus the only way to save her is to send her back in time when shes close enough to the mirror universe that she wont fall apart. Which also just happens to solve the problem of her now being 1000 years into the wrong timezone for the Section 31 show.

A lot of stuff for the Memorable Quotes on Memory Alpha in that Episode: "Great. You can determine if the root is physiological, psychological, temporal or interdimensional on your own." Funny enough, each of them would apply. "What was I just doing? Where did I burry that last body?" - yes, that would be something on the mind of a forgetfull Terran. "Advancement is good" Indeed. it is nice for her finally to shut up for once. Her panicked talking was getting a tad annoying and predictable there^^ "I was having a beautyfull dream, about how your head would look on my wall." And the panicked talking is back.

That's actually another hint of her symptoms. If Georgiou were up to her usual standard, her threat would have been more accurately targeted. She should know by now that Culber doesn't have any kids for example, making that threat an empty one.

@gedias14 жыл бұрын
@@companymen42 Chances are that they got rid of the scalpel and replaced it with a new technology. Look at ST 4, when they went back in time to the 1980s. When Chekov had a critical head injury, surgeons at the time wanted to cut into his skull. Bones used a non-invasive device that easily repaired the damage. That is the type of situation we are looking at. The 20th century doctors would need to throw out most of their trsining to do what McCoy could.

And Pollard was training with this particular scanner wich is part of her specialty. In Medicine, generally stuff only becomes safer and easier over time. They know how to manually do a lot of things that they propably no longer teach in Starfleet Medical training.

@@gedias1 - That's kind of the point here. Though the writers probably didn't get it at the time, those scenes in ST:IV actually made Bone look like a *bad* doctor, because all he really does is hand out magic gimmicks the regrow kidneys and repair cerebral hemorrhages while he just stands around. No wonder he spent so much of him time in sick bay just sitting around drinking! By the 32nd century, it's amazing that they even still have doctors at all! No wonder Reno, an engineer, was able to take care of her crewmates!
