Michael or the Empire? A true Terran like Georgiou would surely choose both. She was trying to save the empire from Kovach's revelation also trying to use her new found power to win back Michael.

I believe she wants to save both. She wants the Empire to change, to evolve into something greater than it currently is. She knows darkness and fear alone are not enough. Love creates true unity, and that unity creates strength. Michael is an excellent example of the Empire. She's grown up being programmed by fear and ego - believing that strength, dominance, and cunning are the only ways to survive. Yet she also has the capacity for love, as is shown by her connection to Lorca. Both she and the Empire are redeemable, and Georgiou sees that. She sees both as her children, needing her guidance to outgrow what they have made themselves into. As for the fall of the Empire - I recall through the Guardian's explanations, it seems the universe Georgiou went to was not precisely her original universe - but rather one nearly identical in which the timeline had proceeded precisely the same way until she made different choices. Through that, she created a new reality while the previous one was still separately preserved as the original Mirror Universe (the one where the Empire fell due to the Alliance). I'm not sure if that's how it's going to play out in future episodes. Writers of many series tend to rework past established concepts in later episodes/seasons that return to them, or flesh them out in a clearer way.

@@heartoffire5902 Mirror Michael is psychotic and not redeemable. She was probably already like that when she was plucked out of the orphanage by the Emperor. It likely stems from the Klingon attack on her parent’s ship. While the other Michael went catatonic and lost her ability to speak for a long time, Mirror Michael became filled with rage and hate.

Tilly's hairdo is reminiscent of that worn by a member of the 70s-80s rock band _The B-52s,_ not an Imperial StarFleet captain. The frizzy ringlets on the _Prime Universe's_ Tilly are more realistic, if not exactly conforming to dress code regulations.

I know what you mean, but she is highly loyal to her Emperor in particular. She doesn't show the same respect or kindness to non-Terrans. I believe her record states her as being particularly ruthless and vicious in dealing with aliens. Much like how Michael acts in an evil manner quite a bit on-screen, but she genuinely accepts and appreciates what she feels is love from Lorca. Even darkness has its soft spots.

Yes workers without pay can be fickle if she took care of the worlds she conquered by providing all need in return for there service I don't think needless manpower and equipment would have been needlessly wasted crushing uprisings and rebellion in the episode of startrek enterprise judgement Archer ran into fleeing refugees then duras came to Hunt them down it stuck with me if the terran empire provided the basic needs for all conquered worlds they may not need to deal with rebellion on a long period of time to bad she didn't stay in her original universe to realise that dream terran empire could have lasted for thousand years or more

It is too late. It was already too late when she was plucked out of the orphanage by the Emperor. Mirror Michael is psychotic. She is wired differently than the other Michael and can’t be reformed or redeemed. The Emperor knew instantly that Michael wasn’t her daughter because she was too calm, too disciplined and not demented.
