Mori kei is like cult party kei but more tan and earth tones. It’s like the a crossover between cottagecore and cult party kei. Idk tho, I like the style but I’m not fully into and I don’t dress like it. 😔

I love this series. I remember the trend in Lolita of wearing peignoirs and the igari makeup, it actually became my go to makeup. Grimoire attended events I went to as well, I didn’t know they changed so much, it’s kind of sad because the stuff they curated was so nice. It’s definitely an issue people on the English speaking side have over-categorising everything and trying to decide strict rules which then stifle creativity especially in more eclectic styles. I love that you showed examples that use black and red, the pops of red looks are my personal favourites. I remember when shironuri had its moment and people just assumed exactly what Minori was doing was the style when really she was in that cult party, dolly and mori realm frequently. I like that you host guests who emphasise not policing each-other because that has always been something I have been sad about in jfashion in western circles because it crushes creativity and innovation, to me street fashion should be experimental sometimes and very personal. Not every outfit will be something you would wear and that’s the beauty of it for me sometimes because it’s about self expression and throwing something at the wall to see what happens.
@toribees3272 жыл бұрын
Cult party kei was one of the very first styles that drew me to j-fashion! I love how light and dreamy it is. And it really is easy to find pieces for it once you know what to look for.

I dont know what specific aesthetics, but nightgowns are definitely popular among thrifters. I mean, even some cottagecore & other -cores have a fixation on vintage, so I see a LOT of people thrift nightgowns. even bimbo or barbie core sometimes takes pink nightgowns or pink flowy clothing items. and fairycore (the US version, aka fairy grunge) used green nigthgowns and green flowy items

Hihi! Your recent video came up on my reccomended by bizzare chance, as I imagine it was a fluke of the algorithm (and I hope you pop off bc of it), given I'm a grungy Kiwi guy who exclusively wears board-shorts/jandals/(cheap tshirts until my clothes are so torn I used them for paint rags), and have poor grasp on current fashion. BUT!- Im watching all your videos while I paint, and you've genuinely given me so much joy. Your content has gifted me a window into sm stuff I no idea about. Anyway, commenting so it boosts your content in the algorithm. Much love :)
