Una grata sorpresa ver de nuevo este extraordinario filme del género bélico con tan icónicos actores de su momento. Por tratarse de una recreación de las terribles condiciones de combate debieron librar los pilotos durante la primera guerra mundial. Tal como se ve en el joven aviador que apenas duraría siete días en ese escuadrón. Saludos y bendiciones a todos los cinéfilos de corazón desde Venezuela.

It didn't need to be.....we already had one. One could equally say, "The Blue Max" was no "Aces High". Movies, like people, are different...if you desire them all to be the same, look to become an ant or a bee. "Aces High" had a different message from "The Blue Max", and from a different perspective, and ought to be rated for its efficacy in exploring the affects of war on very different people, in a (then), relatively new environment; the air. I am not whom I was, prior to my first combat experience, given of course, so very many years after the conflict shown in this brilliant movie. Let it be known, nobody returns from war unwounded, even if you're not 'hit', everyone is IRREVOCABLY CHANGED by the experience.

It was a movie that told a shocking story about a pilot who was unable to take off and land as he expected, but when he was able to control the plane freely, it was all over.😑

Excellent choice, takes me back some years. Always loved older flight films & this one pays homage to the post war films of the late '40's on through the '50's, my youth in fact. Saturday afternoon matinees at the Roxy Theatre in Dundas on my weekly newspaper delivery earnings.

It's a very good film but an emotionally bleak experience for the viewer. This viewer, anyway. Maybe a smart-ersed commentary is just the tonic it needs. Good luck with that, friends.

Высокомудрые генералы боялись, что пилоты начнут при любой минимальной опасности выпрыгивать. Подготовка пилота стоила гораздо дешевле самолёта.
