Your Petty Nobility cube is almost exactly the power level I am going for in mine! We even have some of the same archetypes and many of the same cards. This video is perfect for me, and I'll have to examine your list closely on Cube Cobra later! I should also remember the term "Masters level environment."

Sweet! Drop a link to your list if you like! I (and, I trust, many others) would love to take a peek at it.

I would love to see your list. I’m working on a cube at the same power level. Arrives in the mail in the next few days, can’t wait to give it a test drive.

@@CulticCube Sorry for the delay. I really wanted to fine-tune the power level and update Part I with the new cards. I think it looks really sweet now, and I can't wait to play it. Let me know what you think! cubecobra.com/cube/overview/modulartribalcubei

Wow! Can’t wait to look through your Petty Nobility list. I’ve become quite tired influenced by Riptidian cube philosophies and I’ve finally realised that adding rares of a fair power level will just make my peasant cube more well-rounded and fun!

I really like Flametongue Yearling! It’s such a great card and it is definitely a fun inclusion (assuming “fun” means “card that allows for lots of decisions for the pilot that don’t necessarily represent massive swings but usually have a positive effect on the game).

It is fun and not broken! It's a card that is just generically good and that has a home in most any deck that can cast it.

Great review, closer the power level I'm aiming for. I remember you mentioning the "Masters level environment", but never actually checked that cube of yours, and I'm excited to find some similar micro archetypes. I gave up on +1/+1 counters a while ago, but this set has some nice toys for it.

Yeah, I'd given up on +1 counters years ago as well! But in this environment and with some new tools, it is a real thing.

Are you actually related to Gary? Bc if so, say hi to whichever brother met Shaun in the army. He mentioned how you were going to play an RPG he'd made, but Shaun didn't finish it in time. :)

It took me a while to stop trying to figure out what the acronym PLNR stood for before I realised you were talking about Pia Nalaar haha

Ugh, sorry. For part 1 I did light editing of YT's auto-transcription, but for part 2, YT won't let me edit it!

@@CulticCube Don’t worry about it, it’s not a complaint at all. Just an Aussie suffering from some accent interpretation. Videos are great, keep it up. I’m currently working on a multiplayer cube with a power level similar to Petty Nobility. Would be keen to hear more about the archetypes and design choices you made in a lower power level cube.

I really like the idea of changing the tone of a card with a proxy. Do you have the image of your "Idle Hands" available somewhere?
@CulticCube2 жыл бұрын
I do! I posted it on Twitter here: twitter.com/CulticCube/status/1465805755160924167 Feel free to email me (link in description) if you'd like me to send you a version directly.

Legion Vanguard does not feel like a card that will not have staying power in most environments that want a card similar to it. I had it at prerelease and I was never happy to be sacrificing things to it- I always felt like I was losing when I had to activate it’s ability, even when I had tokens. It’s a pretty mediocre card.
