azolla is rich in nitrogen&protein.thus it is very gud for plants&animals.it increases milk production by 15% in cattle.improves the health of the cattle.wen given to chickens it increases the egg size.for cultivation:5kg nice productive soil is used with 0.5 kg fresh cow dung& 200gms raj phose(think it is potassium.not sure)add cow dung +raj phose weekly.keep in mind dat this needs only 50% sunlite

Fish will help; a thick layer of azolla has been found to reduce mosquito breeding in the water, though the reason seems to vary with species and location. Any water will be a source of mosquitos though, so you will just have less of an increase to the pests.
