One of my dreams is to have a model of the Jupiter like this one. You did quite a good job on this one, I enjoyed the detail and adding what you needed to make it work. Often a model building factory 'makes a model'..but they often need more than what they included. The sound and lights are great, btw. Thanks for sharing this...its gives me hope.

I was 14 years old when Lost In Space first aired and the Jupiter II has long been a favorite Sci-Fi ship for me, though even then I knew that this ship was just too small for what the mission was and all the gear they seemed to have. My main gauge of estimated dimensions was by the door of the ship and its apparent size, relative to the men as they went through it. Eventually I drew up a set of blueprints and what I came up with was a design that was 200 feet in diameter with four primary decks and two secondary decks I have one of the Lunar model kits in storage and it has long been a modeling goal to bash the Jupiter II kit in a way to represent the large design I came up with so many years ago. I am sixty-five now and wish I still had that set of blueprints.

Lunar model kits are no joke! I had a couple myself, And all of them saw the garbage can, I have to say, You did a wonderful job on the Jupiter 2.

What work that takes to build correctly.nice job.i remember being a kid when lost in space first came out and made a simple Jupiter two out of two paper plates.love the amazing work you did on this model.

The lower level looks modified somehow, and looks more like there really could be another living area down there, as there was on the series. Nice.
