For the life of me I will never, ever, ever understand why this song was not at the top of the charts back in the day. It is certainly one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The music industry and the radio industries back then were so clearly stupid and self-absorbed in making their millions that the most important thing (which was supposed to be the music) would most often times, the really great songs would get overlooked. Some days I feel like yelling and crying about that, but unfortunately it never changes anything. ;-) ;-) ;-)

A hauntingly beautiful song. I loved this song when I was 11, and now it takes on an even deeper meaning. Boy George is a Brilliant artist. God I miss the 80s so much!! So glad I was a part of it!

The only fault I find in this performance is that I wasn’t there in the audience! I love the Culture Club and for me, they never disappoint. I am quite pleased when an artist sings a song differently live. If I wanted the recorded version, I could have stayed home for that. This song is hauntingly beautiful as was this performance.

It kills me to see someone as sweet as Boy George cry. He certainly was tormented in his love life. I believe that there was more pain involved there than most of us will ever realize. Still love him too after all these years and everything that he went through. ;-) ;-) ;-)

I came on here thinking I was going to see him fuck something up on stage for the third time-never heard of this song before.He has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard-which carries him completely because his song are so naive,almost child like on their lyrics. 'War' for example is hilarious.But he is fascinating and has a voice that soothes.got love for Boy all day.:-).

George really has a very good voice but when it came to singing in the concert setting with the band I noticed he always went into more of a shout-out the words mode I think because it's hard to relax and just sing without being worried you will croak singing live. It's also somewhat hard to hear yourself really good on stage. But I've seen other settings where he sang live without the band where he sang just beautifuly! The settings where he seems more comfortable and confident he really shines! He can sing the higher notes but in the concert setting he seemed to always try and play it safe and alter the melody because he might have been afraid to go there vocally. He does sing smoothly and beautiful when he doesn't have to shout out over a loud band. Just my observations from his performances in live settings over the years. I love his singing and he has gotten even better with age!

I'm sure you do realize mistake n. 3 is sung mostly on high notes... very high for a man. and you do realize that by now he had song about 10 songs already. The only fault I find is a stronger backing. Of course there was no Helen.
@Nostaljack15 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he really did. This has been the case with a few of these live videos I've seen thus far. Very often, songs are recorded in a higher key for better hit potential. As a result, they're rather hard to pull off live. They should drop the key to facilitate a better live vocal performance.
