Great that Andy. The beauty of long-distance walks is the variety and changes in landscape along the way. I think you are walking it in the best way, turning it into a bit of a holiday, not going bonkers and enjoying some campsites, good food and ale along the way. I was in the Black Bull in Coniston myself a few weeks ago, a great pub with good ale too. Looking forward to part two. ATB, Chris 🍺

cheers chris..yeah thats what we developed the walk into..rather than push it racing into doing 20 to 30 miles a day we took it steady took breaks here & there & the sites gave the rest & freshness we needed with the showers & fascilities etc.. A real good mix of scenery too as you say which keeps the interest peaked..really enjoyed it & id do it again for sure.tfw mate.

Watching this after seeing Paul's version. We were at Tarn Hows in January 2022 just after Storm Arnwen blew through and blocked all the paths(and a lot of roads too!). Good to see they've got them opened again. Skelwith looking so tranquil too, it was a raging torrent when we visited, the bridge was nearly halfway filled with water. Looks like a great hike, it's definitely on my to-do list.

Great video, looking forward to the ones of the rest of the trip. I've noticed when you are filming lying by your tent you get the same funny background noise I get when filming on my Google Pixel phone. You can hear it on your morning video at Coniston. I see ur using the Hoka speedgoat, i worre them on C2C and we’re great but sole wore quite a bit so trying lone peaks out next on Hadrians wall, how did Paul find em? I think I might miss the thick cushioning plus I will look shorter 😂
@AndrewBeavers
@AndrewBeavers Жыл бұрын
i found them great bar the warm & achy feet at end of each day i didnt have any other bother with them..a cork ball sorted the achy bits out & i was feeling good again each morning..paul said the lone peaks did well but he was taping his heels & feet up too so im assuming he had a few problems here & there..

All the trees you saw down around Coniston are the result of storm Arwen in 2021. There were thousands down and the carnage is still being cleared up. For some time that path along Coniston water was all but impassable.

Only one thing spoils your KZbin videos (for me anyway). Adverts every 6 minutes (on average). It's something I'm finding increasingly annoying & distracting, & 'your' channel seems to have more adverts than most others. It's not easy to get settled in Cumbria & the experience when you're regularly interrupted by people selling sofa's or fast food, insurance etc.
