Great hike so far Liam...... captured perfectly. Just a little heads-up & something to keep the farmers happy. Whenever you climb over a gate, always climb over it as close to the hinges as possible. This puts the least amount of stress onto the hinges, thus helping the longevity of the gate....... Believe me, if a the farmer were to see you he'd be thankful. ATB

Well done for day one, we hiked and wild camped the Cumbria way back in June during the heatwave, I ended up with sun stroke and heat exhaustion up on high pike. So came off trail in Caldbeck, it’s a brilliant beautiful hike throughout. Our videos are on our channel. We took our time hiking this trail as just head down going for it wouldn’t have allowed us to appreciate the scenery and soak in the experience. Subbed to yours as I love your attitude and upbeat character. 😊 the brook at 19:33 is where we brushed our teeth and had breakfast on the morning of day two. 😊

Thanks mate, not the greatest weather, quite claggy but it cleared up the next day. And Yeah probably or to stop people trying to wild camp in the field or something, I didn’t see a Bull anyway thankfully. Thanks for watching Keith

Funny guy you are Liam, can’t wait for next episode!!! what footwear did you use and how many pair of socks? I’ve been trekking and camping around the Peak District the last couple of months and constantly have boggy soaked feet. Shite putting wet boots on in a morning. I’ve got some north face beauties that are allegedly waterproof, dunno if I need different footwear or just need to man up a bit? Be nice to know your thoughts. Nath sheff
@GoodBlokeOutdoors
@GoodBlokeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, next episode Monday 7pm. Footwear was Nike Zegama Zoom X Trail shoes.. Socks were Darn Tough socks with some Injinji toe sock liners. Good combo! Yeah these aren’t waterproof just gotta deal with the dampness and they dry off pretty quick compared to boots. Might be worth buying some Sealskin waterproof socks mate, I don’t like them for the long distance multi days as they can make your feet sweat but for over nighters where you want to keep your feet dry they are spot on 👌🏼

Looking forward to seeing the rest of this trip mate looks epic, what power bank do you take on these multi day hikes that manages to keep all your gear charged? Cheers.
@GoodBlokeOutdoors
@GoodBlokeOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I use this powerbank its 26,800 mAh 👉🏼 amzn.to/3ntOMbq never let me down and the best manufacture of powerbanks IMO ! Perfect for Multiday hikes, if going for 1 night then 10,000 mAH will do fine.
