Queen Annes first ever port of call on a cruise is La Caruna in Spain and thats where we are today. Will things improve at breakfast? The fantastic entertainment continues but Sir Samuels fails to impress, so much so that we all walk out without finishing our meal.

This was a Maiden Voyage and full of 'firsts' - including the first time in 53 cruises we had ever walked out of any ship restaurant, let alone a specialist one.

Good look at the new Queens Room - I like it, though I wonder about that walkway through disrupting a show. The Chart Room- yikes, I agree it is nondescript- other than the globe, o don’t see any nautical bits at all. Oh, look, a shuffleboard court that works 😂 The cushion exercise was hilarious 🤣🤣 $58 for Sir Samuels plus several up charges ... wow. Glad to show you documented it in video- an unfortunate evening for all of you.

I think all the issues we experienced should be easily fixed. It doesn't mean they didn't happen but it's not a fundamental ship issue just a staff training problem. Mind you Jane we have just come off our favourite Aurora and we had issues with service on there which we have never had before.

Not good to hear Aurora facing same issues😮 , number one for me is food served piping hot , like it when staff say don't touch plate 😅

Interesting Video, Thank you. So there is no Theatre on Board then? On the cold food piece, I suppose the crew are just getting used to the ship. This ship from what I see on this excellent video, and from other videos I have seen of her, she looks very plain and uninspiring, and very unlike what one would expect from Cunard. I know of other new ships doing a 3 day test cruise for their company's own staff at vastly reduced rates, for the crew to get used to their ship. I wonder if Queen Anne had this luxury of a Test cruise?

Hi yes there is a Theatre it holds 850 people and that's where we saw Russell Watson. The seats in the theatre are extra comfortable and have wide arms on them. I wouldn't say she is plain, however comparing her to Mary, Elizabeth and Victoria she does not have the ornate art Deco features. Then neither did the QE2 which was very modern in styling when she came out. I think Cunard are between a rock and a hard place and with this ship have tried to cater to all tastes and ended up not satisfying anyone. However she is a beautiful ship(in her own way) I think as time goes on and the problems die away she will be enjoyed by lots of people, but not everyone.

I can confirm she did not have a test cruise just one media and VIP day when she was still in dock.

@@KenGoesCruising Hello Ken, Thank you very much for the update. That may explain it. On a Cunard ship, it's just like a Theatre show. You need to rehearse the show. Disney always says, all staff in their parks are either on stage or off stage.
