holy shit this is a good approach. I just edited a video along the same lines, basically overpronation is a myth. When I was searching for images of flat feet on google for the thumbnail I saw you had a video. I watch your stuff all the time man, so I had to come and take a look. Anyway, I'm going to give these exercises a shot. Guys please listen to Zac and do the work! There are no muscles that pronate the foot, you got to pay attention to sensation in the foot and use gravity and your bodyweight to organise the foot! Hope that helps :)

Perfect timing, I was gonna use a split squat to integrate my newly found right foot eversion, but these gentle dorsiflexion methods are doing exactly what I need! You're a rockstar, Zac!

THANK you. When I first started running long distance years ago I remember being confused about why I couldn't find shoes that felt right because they were all designed for "over pronators".

Zac! Question: does a similar concept apply to supination too? My husband has Taylor’s bunions and has “high arches”
@ZacCupplesPT2 жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s also an orientation, just the other way

For the supine excercise do we pick the butt/low back off the ground? Or do we tuck and keep Lowbank on the ground?
@ZacCupplesPT2 жыл бұрын
No tucking is involved. Just apply the foot pressure. If hips come Off eventually because of the foot pressure then that’s cool!

What if 'overpronation' is caused from very lax ankle joints?
@ZacCupplesPT Жыл бұрын
Want to find positions where they start more supinated. Ramps are good here
