Thanks for posting, that's impressive water repellent paint.

Did all the moss clean off OK with just the jetwash?

Overall yes, it's only on the tops where the wood grain is more open and porouse it struggled and these places could do with a new coat again now and also the board at the base where it gets damp the most but I would use it again

@@purplerabbitfilms Just had a stretch of hawthorn hedge replaced with a paling fence. Personally I'd get it treated now rather than let it fade but apparently I'm not allowed to, so I'm just doing research for when the time comes. Ducksback does seem to be the thing!

How long did you leave it in between the two coats ? Still looks nice a year later

not sure but not very long in hot weather as it also soaked in pretty quick 1st coat

The shed in my new garden looks at least 10 years old and looks as if it hasn’t been maintained very well.. should I use a wood preserver before painting with Ducksback?

I'm no expert but being 10 years old. It would definitely need preparation of some sort or you would be wasting your money. Needs to be dry and free of any moss damp before even thinking about it

Did you stain the shed also? If so what did you use? According to Cuprinol you shouldn't use the Ducksback on smooth wood. Just curious if you did and how it worked out ?

I didn't use it on my shed as you are correct it's not best on smooth wood more rough sawn stuff
