Nice to know there is a good cure for this problem. Unfortunately I can't find it in my country. I have a few very old pigeons with leg or wing problems, not looking like boils, not sure if it is just age or salmonela, but I got healthy youngsters from them. Since you also mention getting good youngsters from pigeons that had salmonella, it seems like it is not really a genetic weakness for this disease but maybe just random problems that appear during one pigeon's life, maybe after a stressful event.

You may want to try this with your local salmonella vaccine. The old pigeons might have arthritis. I have raised excellent babies and winners with pigeons that recovered from salmonella. Many carry salmonella and no too many are bothered by it if the immune systems are strong.

Hello Stephen, I suggest you use the Rotavirus PMV vaccine at weaning. Some top Veterinarians claim RotaVirus is the reason for young bird sickness. I like the Rota virus vaccine first followed three weeks later by PMV/Salmonella/Bronchal for the next shot.

Yes I mean 1ml. I use four times the recommended dose for each shot.
