I've fixed it through controllers & Bluetooth devices. My remote is not new but some how it unpaired, so now by adding new remote I followed the instructions and it worked, its all paired now. Thank you so much. You are amazing. 💜

So it's connected to your firestick, but NOT your tv then. You need to go into settings under equipment. Then select your tv. Only takes a few seconds. We have videos showing how on our channel.

Well that has nothing to do with your remote. It’s your stick. We have videos on how to factory reset it and the whole process.

If you can control only the voiume, then it's connected to your tv ONLY, not the firestick. So you need to hold down the buttons until it's in pairing mode, or use the fire tv app to put the stick in pairing mode. App is free and will control the stick. We have videos on it.

As long as your system is connected to the firestick via Bluetooth. Then yes you can control the volume

That means the remote is connected to the TV, not the firestick. Use the remote code to pair it. It's important that you do it the correct way. Another option is to use the fire tv app and put it in pairing mode that way. We have videos on both

Step one, check batteries, if that doesn't work, unplug from the wall outlet for minimum of 60 seconds. Then plug back in. If that doesn't work, get the fire tv app for your smart phone and control your tv that way and get into settings to sync the remote. Easy fix

I want to know if I can get some help on this situation with a 4K firestick. I move my firestick to a new another TV and now when I put it into sleep mode and turn it off at night and I don't turn it back on to the next evening when I get off of work the remote will not wake it up from sleep mode. That usually means your amazon account is disconnected from the stick. Steps I would take. Unplug the firestick from the power outlet (wall) and wait 60 seconds and let it reboot and try it. If that doesn't work, go into settings and log out and log back in. If that also doesn't work, call amazon and they can reactivate it on their end. Hope this helps you.

Was given my brothers FireStick, no remote for it either. Plugged it in got the message Home Screen Unavailable. Couldn’t pair my remote to it so I used the tv remote and was able to factory reset. Had a spare remote and plugged the stick back in, said to pair but nothing happened, I did everything to try and get it to pair, nothing, even with the app it doesn’t find it. I’m ready to smash it, lol. I even tried the tv remote but it did nothing. Is there something I’m missing here? Hope you can help, thanks

Yeah, that sounds like it's not on the wifi then yet. I could get it up and running with the remote code. I've not found a stick that could not pair. Usually has to do with impatience. Some could take 30 minutes. People tend to press buttons too soon. Are you near ohio?

Yes, it’s not synced to the unit, just your tv. Did you do what I shared in this video? Almost seems like the remote is synced to a different Firestick. Do you have more than one fire device?

If you did everything I share in this video, including holding down the home button for 10-15 seconds straight and the light isn't blinking, then if under warranty, contact amazon, if not, a replacement is in order. Can't fix what's officially broken. Usually just fresh batteries alone are the culprit. Easy test is the holding of the home button. But gotta hold it for a long time sometimes. The firestick still works thought right? It's not frozen? Cause that's a different issue

@@CuriosityCafe Its plugged into the wall. The battwries are inserted correctly. Can get the remote to flash like its syncing. But it never registers. This is all brand new out of the box 1st time installation. No extra cables just hdmi slot and power lead

I spoke to Amazon and they think the issue is that the remote was manufactured by a third party. I've order the correct 3rd gen remote, so fingers crossed the issue is now resolved.

@@CuriosityCafe it was a clone made by a third party. I bought it on Amazon so didn't realize it wasn't an Amazon remote. Now that I have an Amazon original remote, it is working perfectly. The clone looked like a Gen1 remote, which is what I had before, and the Amazon original I have now is a Gen3.

That's a flaw when your firestick gets disconnected from your amazon account. Try reconnecting to your amazon account or call them if you need help. It's not the microphone
