This German game that you have in your collection is actually a game that is available in many languages. In English it's supposedly called "Drinkin' Ludo" or just "Ludo". It's a game I play a lot with my grandchildren... and it drives me crazy. You have to try to get your four pawns into the stable. But you are only allowed to enter the starting point if you rolled a 6 - my first problem. I don't know why, but somehow everyone gangs up against me, because if you land on a space where an opponent is already standing, then you can throw him out of the game and you can start all over again - my second problem... bitter when you were close to the stable. I've never managed to win with the little devils... so I'd recommend you just burn it! You'll save yourself a lot of trouble! 🙂

That Simpson Sears race set is the type my older brother and his friends had (70-71), one of his friends had a huge basement that was totally covered in track. As a boy of 7 yrs, it was the most incredible thing I had ever seen, can close my eyes and still see it.

the papers weren't instructions. The previous owner looked up the prices of things online (at places like eBay) and printed them to help price items. Remember, they were planning to open an online shop and sell things at one point.

WOW! What a step back to my childhood in this haul.. I was saying to myself when you showed the barn and kept talking about the stuff in the bag, Does the barn still MOO? I also have a picture of me opening a robotix set like the one in the trailer. So cool to see some of that stuff still exists. Thank you for opening the door, I haven't heard that sound in decads. I could go on and on with this one, but i will restrain myself.

OMG, Alex ! I too remember that German game ! I vaguely recall it's kind of like a Parcheesi, or Trouble game. Years and years ago, my sister was married to a (German) fellow, Rolf. For whatever reason, they would take me to Rolf's parents house, Gerhard and Hilda. This was not in Germany, this was in Central NYS, probably in the early '70's. The parents must have brought that game with them when they immigrated to the US. I must have been about 10 or 12 at the time !! 🤣

That ViewMaster slide with the steamboat! Had that, about 1964ish - never saw the point of it. It wasn’t exciting or themed - we saw Bonanza on TV (in Sweden) and I had the Bonanza ViewMaster slide, but that steamboat? It was 3D all right but … left you unexcited. :)
