My mum used to renovate Strangetown into a fantastic blooming place with pink trees and lavish fields, she also had this alien breeding system, so they would eventually end up conquering this town. We didn't have this aspiration points system yet, so abductions were super rare since you couldn't just summon ufos. So you can imagine it was quite a task to breed them. I used to send all my unwanted alien babies from other towns into my mum's beautiful world, so it actually made sense: aliens use people to get some fresh DNA for their limited community in Strangetown. Oh boy, it was fun and dramatic :))

No, not technically. But Nervous is gay and he's friends with Pascal, so many players pair them together (including me). 😃

@@chor2336 Hi there! In The Sims 2, Nervous begins with a slight preference for males - so that makes him gay. But of course, the player can change this by making him have romantic interactions with female Sims. All Sims are pretty fluid in their gender preference depending on how you play them. I don't play the PSP version, but I'm sure it has it's own lore. :)

Aw, I love Pascal and Nervous. They always end up together in my game, sometimes without even me trying! Also, I always name Pascal's child Tycho because that's its name in The Sims 2 for PSP (and it also fits so well, being the name of an astronomer)

I love Strangetown so much! It's my most developed neighborhood atm. I think I'm 4 or 5 generations in but there's so many families now the calendar is off. I still can't bring myself to wipe it yet though. I've got some interesting genetics. I'll have to share family trees on Discord XD

Something I like to do at the Curious home is change the sun room you mentioned to a fully functioning garden as it seems like what Maxis was going for before gardening actually existed. :)

Oh I am so excited!! Can't wait to see what you'll do with Nervous and the Beakers. I (usually) go for a more relaxed approach with this household instead of the really dark interpretations. Being the son of the grim reaper I can imagine him getting back at them using his powers and being a little shit from time to time even while living with them, so it doesn't feel THAT one-sided and sad - and because it is more fun to play I think. But also because they don't have a negative relationship to start with and they've never been autonomously cruel to him during my gameplay? Nervous/Loki might randomly start arguing because they all have 0 nice points, but even if Nervous pranks them, they always receive it positively and Circe/Nervous have never been mean to each other in my game at all, or so rarely that I cannot recall it.

I'm not gonna get too dark. This is a family-friendly channel after all, but it's not going to be nice either. Lol. I will of course follow the Maxis story line and let the Sims follow their own wants. I can sort of plan things, but I always let the Sims write the story. It will be interesting to see how this household goes!

Hi Cindy, nice channel. I used to play the sims 2 a lot when i was younger, and it's really a pleasure to see that someone still likes to play this game and create New stories. I loved this family. When i was playing this family, i match again Circe Beaker with Vidcund because they had a romance, and sometimes you can give it a second shot. Hello from 2023! I made a custom neighbourhood called Eden Cove, where all playable sims from the bin, all 3 Universities and Bluewater village is played. And I mean all of them. To make things harder for me, I added Bitville from Sim Stories and Strangetown as sub hoods. Let's just say the residents of Strangetown as certainly spiced up my hood lol

Are you using the neighborhood that came with the game? Because I think the Bella Goth that comes with the default game can cause corruption since she knows some object NPCs. I also recommend either locking or selling all doors that go from their bedrooms to the outside, or their pathing will be so annoying. BTW, I had both Vidcund and Lazlo get pregnant by aliens on their first night, then moved in Crsytal Vu and had her try for baby with Lazlo. How's that for a challenge, eh? ;)

Hi Empyrean! I am not using clean templates. I am using the straight-up rumored-to-be corrupt basegame 'hood. I will preserve it as long as possible using all the tools at my disposal. I won't use cleaned templates because they remove the Strangetown townies and I want all my Maxis townies. Oh yeah! In my game both Pascal and Vindcund had baby girls! I named Pascal's baby Nova, and Vindcund's Halley c: Meanwhile Lazlo is engaged to Crystal and they both rolled wants to get married, so that's gonna happen soon ;). Oddly enough Nervous and Pascal are friends, but Nervous is romnatically involved witn Loki's sister Erin, so I'll need to find someone else for poor Pascal

When I first played this household....Lazlo died 😭 I meant to back out and not save what happened to him, but instead I accidentally saved it! So when I had to reinstall the game on another computer after my first one broke, I was determined to have Lazlo live! Currently in my game, he has married a (male) townie he brought home from work, while Pascal has married Nervous. Vidcund is currently single. Debating whether or not he should have a husband too 😂

Just an idea, sell the doors leading into the bedrooms unless you want them to constantly go in and out of them like morons to get around the house :P

You are absolutely right about that! Why so many doors, Maxis? WHY!?

Yes to getting rid of extra bathroom doors - a bathroom is not a thoroughfare Maxis! Also the stairs make most of the house not weatherproof, so they can get sunstroke (and frostbite if you let Strangetown have winter) just sitting in the living room. Depending how many sims end up staying there I either just knock out the stairs and fill in the roof, leaving the exterior stairs as the only way up to the high telescope, or I put in a second story master bedroom/suite with a second bathroom. I actually don’t mind the odd angles and stick a few of them in my extension if I add one. But I get rid of all the doors from the bedrooms out of the house, moving one of them close to where the bbq is, and add a burglar alarm near the front door
