This structure is remarkable, and reminds us of the size, layout, machining methods used and quality of megalitic structures shown in many of your other videos, Tina. Yet, as you say, the statue, though it literally fits, seems oddly flat, cramped and is made of a peculiar mix of materials, with parts (like the toes) of high quality, while other, more modern parts are much less impressive. I suspect that the original space was created for a completely different purpose than as a place for a giant statue, and that the internal cave systems you show tend to confrm this.

I agree with you there, i think they came upon a site that was already cut out, perhaps it was a different god or person or wasn't finished (stopped by the cataclysm that left all quarries "mid cut") and they cut it back and used mortar to make it look more like Buddha. I don't think it was cut from the full cliff. A lot of ancient sites we utilised by later civilisations. Many we incorrectly give credit to building most of the time. Soft stone gradually turn hard. Stone are made of discrete crystals, crystals of a specific composition and proportion, mixed, compact and bind together by a chemical binder of various ph scale either, deposited naturally or artificially additive. At first the mixture flows like larva and slowly turn plastic like wet clay that can be sculpted before hardened to a hardness we experience today. Through the intermediate hardening stage, bamboo tools can be use to sculpt stature or excavate tunnels. Alternatively the mix can be pour and and stamp in a mold-slot created by previous blocks on both sides and over blocks beneath, such as the building blocks of the great pyramids

Your previous Part I escaped my attention, but now I'll have to watch it since any curious being is hungry for the facts that you uncover. I have a suggestion that springs from my perspective about cast stone...something you should cover in your next video on the Buddha. It is this: it is a certainly that the hair curls on the head were all formed in molds since it is not the work of stone masons to carve rounded and semi-spherical shapes. That is the work of clay sculptors who can do it by freehand with soft clay. Flat chisels cannot do that without expending a ridiculous amount of time...which stone masons would never waste their time on. So, if the curls are added on, then what else was created in molds? You mentioned the ears...which are also totally rounded and not straight surfaces like chisels are meant for. So the statue's creation involved not just stone removal but stone concrete addition...and entire sections may have been added in order to produce the final shape if that shape was not possible with the remainder of the previously quarried site. Perhaps that raises the question of the head itself and whether or not it is an add-on in its entirely. Hmmm... I do want to express my appreciation for bringing forward the previously unknown fact about the advanced quarry marks. I just recently had the insightful thought that what was used world-wide (and especially in the staircase and tunnel) was not an equivalent to our huge machines but instead a more miniature version that was highly mobile and compact (which would be the only good choice if choosing machinery to bring to Earth from another world.) Such a machine would trade size and speed for lesser weight and tool width but with plenty of time in which to work, a slower rate of stone removal would not matter. And if such machines were built with great reliability then they could operate around the clock either by control of operators or by Artificial Intelligence and clear instructions. It all makes sense. Now I have to consider creating a post with all of these points, both yours and mine. :) Ancient Stonework Mysteries ....Facebook Group.

In prehistoric ancient times there were large scale debris and hydrocarbon rain down from the heaven, one at a time. Soon after, the debris began its chemical process after successive chemical rains, influenced by volcano eruption to be more or less acidic or alkaline. If ancient people leave it alone it will be hard hardened in sand stone or granite in their natural shapes. Otherwise shaped must begin following a tight schedule if they want meant to be finished it in a buddha statute, cave to recover prior rivers or something. Because the hardening process does not end suddenly, ancient people were able to complete most of their projects. Projects over running the hardening period will and cannot be complete because the stone was harder than their tools. eg (1) Stone of the Pregnant Woman in Baalbek. (2) Largest unearthed obelisk in Egypt. (3) unearthed Moai of Easter island.

Something strange is with this statue. Just remember similar examples of cutting something huge in the rock; for example: Lalibela churches in Africa, Kailash temple and caves of Elora in India, Petra Temples in Jordan, Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan... And this sitting Leshan Giant statue reminds me more Egypt Colossi of Memnon, than Buddha. 1) this statue and "cave" is very primitive made (if we know, that builders used ancient advanced technology and if we compare it with others huge ancient cut examples/buildings); 2) as sculpture, this Buddha(?) is very strange made. Or very bad if you treat it as a work of art. If this statue would built in our "modern" time, we could call it as contemporary art. But it is not. This statue was built without using any known for as art canons; 3) the head of this statue is above the rock surface. So in the rock surface must be left griding residues; 4) if for ancient builders was very easy to cut out huge amount of rocks, so why they left such uneven "walls" but not cleaned surfaces like in Mount Nokogiri (Chiba) in Japan? 5) if this statue was cut from one solid rock, what must happened in the past, that some huge parts of this statue were destroyed and later restored(?) using bricks? P.s.: a) I suspect (or I'm sure in 90%), that this all statue was built of bricks. And to hide bricks structure, builders used thick plaster surface which now for us looks like stone/rock surface. b) and when this Buddha statue was built? Remember one old photo with monastery in this place which You put in Yours video? If You try to remember, how today looks scaffolds of big buildings...
@CuriousBeingbyTina3 жыл бұрын

@@CuriousBeingbyTina Yes. And/or Shropshire Union canal. Most of the information that comes up in a search talks about work initiated in the 18th century but there is clearly older work there. Particularly in the area of the ravine under Northgate street. You can see later work that has been added on top much like other sites but the bedrock has been carved through to a depth of about 20 feet (not including the depth of the canal) and a width of about 35 40 ft in some places. It is very hard to find information on the Roman's having excavated it perhaps while building the walls. Most articles only reference the walls in respect to the Romans and not the canal. Happy new year Tina! Interesting video. I have been thinking that no machines were involved, but rather that a person would sit down with their left side parallel to the wall, with their left hand holding a metal spike, and the right hand striking the spike with a mallet. This would explain the inward curve of the striations, produced by the fulcrum of the arm travelling downwards and the short distance between line levels. (Sitting position) This is easily tested, as you just need to grab some local dude, have him sit in that position, and trace the movement of his arm to see if it matches.
@ancientbuilds37643 жыл бұрын
Darn it. Think I just proved you right! Look at the photo of the tunnel staircase. (12:10, left pic, 4th row up) They dont follow the curve of an arm at all. If a person was to do this, it would be a fantastic way of getting all kinds of gunk in your eyes. One would presume you would strike vertically, and not side to side. To get that curve, you would have to literally be lying underneath it... Weird.

So, I have watched a couple videos of yours on the topic of the Buddha. You compare it to other statues of similar period, but I do not believe the comparison is valid. Here are my reasons; The other examples are carved into the lower portion of a cliff face, typically inset beneath an overhang of sound stone. This allows protection from the elements and even plants. In comparison, the giant Buddha's head is carved from the top layer of the stone. The top layer will be broken up by erosion and the encroachment of plants, especially roots penetrating the stone and the freeze/thaw cycle. So, this top layer of stone is inferior and lends this trait to the head. Also, the location of the Leshan Buddha is directly above the water at a confluence of rivers. This location and elevation leads to a high relative humidity which will help support plant and moss growth, as will the hour or so of sunlight per day to most parts of the statue. In summary, utilizing the inferior top layer of stone for the statue and in such a way that the entirety was exposed to erosion is why this statue is in the condition it is in. This does not invalidate any of your claims regarding machining tool marks or earlier civilizations, it simply speaks to the effects of erosion in dissimilar environments. I enjoy the levels of research you display.

Planes etc. If they didn't get wiped out and lost. Look what we have done in 100 years..dosent make sense. If they were around for 1000s of years making things we can't do today? Surely they would have made advances like we did..!

I wonder that as well. I assume that since these people could make much better constructions it's very possible that this civilization, in general was more sophisticated. Because many fields are involved in achieving high construction quality, such as mathematics, physics, engineering, metallurgy, material science/ chemistry, precision instrument and machinery etc. Therefore they might have technologies like computers and planes too.

@@CuriousBeingbyTina OMG..they mite have had what we have now and more but it all got lost. That is so scary.. wonder how many resets there have been up until us. Absolutely mind blowing ! Thank You for your amazing answer your the best !

Maybe it was defaced at some point and restoration efforts didn't have the required technical skills to get it done!

Yes, it's possible.

This all made by extraterrestrials from parallel Earth. There is no machinery technology. This is a civilisation of alive "machines". I say machines, but they aren't. They are look like alive metallic "instruments". Imagine the parallel Earth, were everything is alive: stones, "metallic ants" able to carry tens stone blocks. And with their teath like our machinery teath cutting the stones. So their traces are very similar. Our Earth machines are very rough (because they are not alive) and can do very primitive moves. Alive "machines" can do very complex , impossible moving , demonstrated for example in this video. They born, grow, live and die like we are. But they are "mechanic" from our point of view. So the UFO. They are absolutely the same. In other words , all this made by UFO - the not biological creature of parallel world. We see them in very small intersection. They live in their own Earth. If the intersection is big , then this impossible sculpters, Nasca's drawings, piramides, caves appeares in our Earth. But it's impossible to detect this action. It appears like it existed always here. And it looks strange, because they don't have our history. Close parallel Earths has very close objects and history , but anyway different. Take the piramides for example. Our piramides are similar, but ours much smaller than the giant in parallel Earth. Because we dont have their advantages. But intersecting mixed this piramides (not only piramides , but a great territory ) and we get this unexplainable objects. Sometimes intersection leads to underwater appearing of structures. Or our structures looks like falling into water - mental memory of Atlanta. And I repeat, don't try to explain with our concepts. This is absolutely not nessesary. Sometimes this intersections very significant and course catastrophes on the Earth. And Earth civilisation dies. But not the catastrophe is reason of it. The Intersection is. After this intersection the civilisation (all or part) dissappeares without traces - this is intersection ! Not material destructing. And immediately new civilisation appeares. In other words, this is the extraterrestrials wars. Local intersection causes appearence of new creatures and human races on the Earth. This true explanation of human appearence, not the evolution. Evolution leads to small continuous changing but not for new sort of alivings, appearing with a jump.
