As a married man, I often say this and people think I’m being mean. Everyone isn’t meant to be married. The number of divorces and marriages solidify this stance. People can be great within or without marriage. Why put yourself through so much turmoil based on a societal pressure. Social media has made people think that there is no work involved in marriage, and when you put on “magical” rings you sail off in happiness in the sunset. It requires a ton of sacrifice and being selfless. Also, sometimes the trauma that some people experience is irreparable which rules them out of being able to be married. I’m sorry, but I just want people to be the best version of themselves.

I totally agree…I wanted to be married forever but sometimes it doesn’t work out and I can attest that divorce was like a death from my perspective. I am fine now and have no regrets.
@jasminealexia2 ай бұрын
I have to disagree with this. While I’m sure marriage does have its ups and downs, there are still mentally sound people in the world that would make for great successful marriages. I believe it’s a matter of choosing the right person instead of overlooking those red flags

Tips to everyone (to go with Crys tips): - Date yourself. - Learn to love yourself. - Learn how to be alone. - Find out what you like and don't like - Be forgiving of yourself and any mistakes that you make on your journey. - Learn how to identify red, orange, and green flags by your own standards and not that of others or the society at large

Thank you for sharing sis❤. I remember when you’d taken a trip home (I think) and when you returned you didn’t vlog for a few weeks. Shortly there after you were moving out and you stopped mentioning your husband. My heart broke for you because I knew you were getting a divorce. That sounds crazy but sis I’m a few years older than you but I was watching you do exactly what I did when I was going through my divorce. I’ve watched you do the work over the last year, to heal and to discover your true self. Thank you for living and standing in your truth bravely not only as a woman, but as a woman of color. So many of us don’t believe that we are worthy that we are valuable that we deserve everything. Thankfully, I was able to learn those lessons after my divorce and I am so happy for you and for your continuous growth. Once again, thank you Miss Crystal Nicole❤❤❤

OMG Crystal! You sound like me. I am currently in a breakup (separation) and I am doing the same thing. Forgiving myself was the hardest! I really took the time and asked myself " Why am I like this? Why did I make certain decisions? What shaped me to make these certain decisions? Got to the root of that ( which did stem from my childhood)letting that person go and discovering who I am and who I want to be. Studying and leaning in Jehovah's Love . I could go on and on but I am gonna stop here. Proud of you!!!

This information is so spot on! I especially agree with Crystal saying we are the first generation to try and change the narrative I'm 36 and didn't learn to love myself until about 28 by then I had been in two toxic relationships and dealt with DV I had children so it was a different process being I couldn't 100% focus on myself but I've learned those same principle of self love, happiness not depending on your partner etc. crystal definitely is dropping gems and I'm going to start using some of those tips to grow further... I am so glad you are sharing this part of your world with us. I'm here for it ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I wanted to provide and update on this comment at the time I wrote the top portion I was in an eight year relationship with someone I thought was my forever. I'm on day 5 of that relationship imploding. I have a lot more to learn (the learning never really stops does it?) I'm rewatching this now with new eyes it's painful but now it's really all about me and my children. ❤

Yeah I was bullied a good bit too in school and I swear that helped shaped the person I am today. I was NOT confident and didn't really speak up or speak my mind but I see a big difference in who I was then and who I am now and I'm just proud of me! I'm glad that you found yourself crystal! 🥰

I hear you...as long as our journey of self worth and validation dosent take us away from, make us compromise or its a justification to overlook God's laws and principles then that journey is worthwhile. Its the ignoring or dismissing of those laws and principles that lead us to make those regrettable mistakes in the first place. Wish you the best!

Can you please talk about the hard truth of people leaving you over making healthy decisions and setting boundaries. People say they love you unconditionally and you start making moves to be better they not just take away their love but they act hateful. If you experienced that, what have you done to ignore or endure the hate from people you had a bond with at one time?

Women and Men often times pick the wrong person to marry. Marriage involves communication, commitment, responsibility and accountability. WE have to do the work.

I was severely bullied as well 😢 those affirmations matter and also sometimes when we are a spiritual person, we make decisions based off others examples or what we think we are supposed to do but that’s not always what’s good for us..there is more than one way to live it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person cause you choose a different course. Also you don’t have to make mistakes to learn if you take the right course from the beginning but it doesn’t make us bad if we make mistakes it makes us human 😌 I also wish I had started therapy earlier it’s a miscarriage of justice in our community, religious and ethnic..we need therapy 🙌🏽 so many men and women that are religious need therapy 😢

I remember when I first discovered her natural hair content she blessed her man with some LV sandals. He would be in her vlogs and she was wearing a ring and then there was no ring and no more him in the vlogs. She did right not explaining any of it because some things just aren't anyone's business, but I'm sure he probably was unfaithful and that's probably why she kicked him to the curb, in which she should have. Now that is all of what self worth is, not tolerating infidelity in a marriage, point blank period.
@twinmom60096 ай бұрын
@@user-eb5wq3vi2jShe never said he was unfaithful. Watch the vlog about her Divorce Story. There aren't many specific details but it sounds more like she wanted more and they weren't on the same page as far as growth and what she wanted for her future.

Umm that’s the “right” to YOU not her. If this was your platform and your divorce story then it would the right way FOR YOU. You don’t know her or how her marriage was. If you never been in this situation then you have no room to speak on how someone decides to tell THEIR story.

Girl this is SOOOO good! I went through a self discovery journey(still going through it) after losing my boyfriend in 2021. I went through the worst time of my life, my darkest time. I learned through that experience that God is my source. You so hit the nail on the head with that point. I realized that I had put other people in His place and when I lost my boyfriend, I felt helpless, hopeless and everything in between. I had to learn to put no one before Him. I had to figure me out again. Learn what makes me happy. I put my all into becoming the woman I saw myself being. It has been hard but the journey has been so worth it. This video was amazing. I pray other young women find this and with your tips, gain understanding for loving themselves. It’s a beautiful thing. 🫶🏽
