Thank you for sharing this video. I have been telling people about the beautiful place I stayed for the summer of 1981 ever since, and words, or words and still photographs just don't do it justice. For several years the house was used as a summer school teaching Irish music and language and dance to visitors connected to the Irish Arts Center in Manhattan.

My mother was born in Corraun House. Her parents looked after the house and gardens for the Dickens family.

really, I was just researching part of my family history and found someone born at "Corraun" I originally thought it was Currane, Bellavary, County Mayo, now I see a map and it looks next to each other. The surnames were Foye/Foy and Cunningham, and Murray; (also McVey) they came to Liverpool later on.

Yes, it's the same house. I know because one of my best Friends and her partner bought it in 2020. The house was renovated after filming was completed and will it be opened as a B&B in January, 2025.
