Most of my thought process when it comes to buying clothes now is just "right, do I truly want this item of clothing, or is this a trend which I think looks cool on someone else but I know deep down isn't really for me, and I won't want to wear it in a years time?" One thing unique and great about your videos are that you tend to focus on refinement of the wardrobe with timeless pieces without compromising on style. A lot of fashion content creators are always about adding new pieces, expensive pieces etc. A great style need not necessarily come from addition but subtraction and refraining from buying new pieces. Being focused goes a long way. Great video!

Hey mate, great advice. Some funny thing i did notice: being around since 1981 and somehow i see the same trends go by the 2nd or even 3rd time. And somehow, they still dont work. In the end: Don’t go for trends and go for a regular classic style. Not to tight, not to short, just a regular straight fit, classic colours and textures and you’re good to go. Here in Australia most people still wear skinny or slim jeans. I bought the Acne Studio 2021m boot cut jeans so I’ve looked out of place most days, but I don’t care, the best jeans i’ve ever bought and I’ll continue to wear them regardless of trends.

As an older person, who seen a lot and I mean, a lot of trends come and go, I agree with all of these. I think a wider leg, for example, is fine but the widest trend that we’ve seen lately will go. Agreed with the square toe shoe, it always looks so that. It’s too much of an attention hog. Painted jeans? Yeah I had a pair of those ones, after I helped paint my aunts house.

I've been wearing hiking boots with casual outfits for 20 years now, so funny to watch that it became a trend now))) I wore them because I walk A FUCKING LOT. Minimum 10 kilometers per day, usually 15, so any other boot just can't keep up with wear and tear and is a taking a toll on fees. But my hiking boots I feel like wearing slippers and they last for 2-3 thousand kilometers before they start showing age.

I've been wearing hiking boots for years and they're all comfortable for me and the same goes with my other boots that are fog military boots, Balenciaga trooper boots, yeezy 950 boots, bottega tire boots, converse ambush boots. The only time my other boots feels uncomfortable apart from the hiking ones is when I'm in a hurry or walking in fast phase manner to which they will hurt my feet due to their composition and stiffness that limits the movements of my feet.

A trend that is very heavy in Denmark at the moment is puffer jackets and jackets of the brand Parajumpers. I feel like it is a very expensive trend that will also die out quickly and hard soon. As it comes to paint splatter clothing I feel like that trend has been with us forever. Of course sometimes you can see more of it and sometimes less, but I still have my splattered cargo shorts from Superdry that I bought like 12 years ago. Crazy. But I do agree that it's almost impossible to dress up this kind of clothing. Me personaly, being a fan of relaxed clothing, never went for this super baggy pants or other utterly oversized clothing. But maybe that's my age showing up ;) Still, I don't see my self getting back to skinny jeans anytime soon. I do have some regular fit pants, but other than that I'm all loose/relaxed fit lover.

If it works for you there is no need to change. Once the styles change you definitely get more used to seeing whatever is more popular though. Some of the trousers I wear now that I consider slim would have been really baggy for me 5 years ago. Your perspective shifts with the styles. I have two square-toed shoes, which I have had for over 15 years. One is black dress shoe by Ecco, and the other is a dark brown suede Chelsea-type boot. The latter is narrow square-toed, and it is usable on occasions. The rest, I do not bother with. Oh, and one more thing. What people need to drop are tattoos. They were a thing when not everyone was doing them. But now... Just my OPINION.
