Two years ago when I officially entered menopause my hair really started to thin. Switching to a carnivore/ ketovore diet made it grow back naturally and denser than it's been in years. Cutting out all the sugar and eating all that protein healed my body on so many levels, clearing my skin, reducing wrinkles and growing hair without expensive devices.

I am in same boat. Ssecond that, ketovore + BHRT, replacing about 8 hormones, never felt better. 56 years old.

The skin on my neck started sagging and I found PERRICONE'S SUB D NECK CREAM works like magic! For anyone with loose skin on jawline/neck/decollate, this WORKS! Don't forget to moisturize the back of your neck as well! Love you, Marlena!

Hair loss could be related to vitamin deficiency. Clumps of hair fell out when I just walked. My doctor tested my blood (for another reason) and found out I was iron, vitamin D and B deficient. He was shocked I had been walking around for years with such low numbers. He said my iron was almost depleted because of stress levels. Some of these nutrients help circulate blood and oxygen. My hair loss has significantly gone down since I got an iron infusion and quarterly vitamin D and B jabs. Also, I can breathe better and don’t feel like fainting anymore (more important than hair).
@MarlenaStell9 ай бұрын
SUCH great feedback! I've tested low on those also so have to take high doses of Vitamin D (under doctor's orders) because I don't absorb them well

Tretinoin is LIFE! If you're just starting it, be patient with it. Your skin will go through a purge. Your skin will be dry and may peel. Keep hydrating and keep at it. Dont give up after a week when you see that your skin is getting a little dry. But it has been LIFE CHANGING for me. I'm 47 and my skin looks better than when I was a teenager! I swear by the CeraVie cleanser though, Belif moisture bomb toner, and skinfix moisturizer (sometimes I'll swap to tacha's water cream if I'm feeling a little too oily). Seeing a derm is not just for when things are wrong with your skin. They also can help keep your skin plump and elastic longer. Just see that derm! My derm actually recommended the tretinoin to me, I didnt even have to bring it up! SO GOOD! I did want to ask, what do you use for SPF? I really fell in love when I tried the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench SPF. It feels SO good on the skin. It does have that chemical sunscreen smell to it, but I like that scent personally. Usually I can just replace my moisturizer during the day with this its just so hydrating and feels good. For me it didnt even pill under makeup. I bought a second bottle just out of fear it would be discontinued soon!

Have you had your thyroid levels tested? Not just the basic test but all thyroid tests because the basic blood test may show normal levels but the T3 and T4 blood tests are more accurate. Low thyroid levels can cause you to lose your hair. I know from personal experience. Hope this information helps.

Hi! I recently started following you and have loved your recommendations. I am 45 with dry skin. The older I get the more committed to skin care I have become. I do have a few questions. I recently got the ordinary glycolic acid and tretinoin but wondered what order you use these before serums and moisturizers? The other issue I have is my makeup always comes off by my nose. I use a setting spray but am hesitant to use setting powder because I have dry skin and was told if you are over 40 you should not use powder. Thanks again

The hair oil is my favorite too. I have dry skin and the only moisturizer that quenches it is the holy hydration by elf. I’ve tried so many but my skin loves that one. @MarlenaStell9 ай бұрын
I really recommend using it once a week to start then the next month go to twice a week, then eventually 3xs a week but every night is pretty harsh on the skin :( To sooth your skin, aloe vera gel or a simple moisturizer and let the skin take a break from it until it calms down. xoxo
