Amazing suggestions, especially from another dry skinned gal. Eye cream is the one thing I haven't been able to find one I really love, so I think I'm definitely going to try out the Avocado one from Kiehls! It's actually not a bad price point for an eye cream either! Thanks again for the suggestions!!

I found this cream amazing! My eyelids and around my eyes are dry they sometimes even flake and this cream makes such a difference! I am prone to Millia too and I don't think this cream has affected them or caused more.

It's great! Be sure to use it how kiehls recommend, which is to warm it up with your fingers before putting it on. It turns the thickness into a much easier consistency to work with and will actually be hydrating that way :)

I'm glad to hear you use face oils as I remember people used to stay away from oils until they started knowing the benefits. My skincare is very minimal unlike my makeup addiction lol I love using face oils at night esp. argan & rosehip oil & sometimes coconut oil, i wake upto super soft & radiant skin. Still on the lookout for my holy grail moisturiser, i'm never faithful to just one lol i have CT magic cream but tbh it reminds me so much of the old skool Pond's cream & for £70 a pot, I won't be buying it regularly. You always have had beautiful smooth skin xxx

You really shouldn't use oil before your moisturizer. If you do that the moisturizer is basically useless because it can't get through the oil.

i think it depends what oils they are because i think lavender oil is meant to be good for your skin. im pretty sure its like citrusy things and tea tree oil you want to stay away from if you have sensitive skin. nothing too strong so it should be fine

Luna is lovely minus the smell but contains retinol so use sparingly and buy from a retailer who allows returns.
@sunsetwinds9 жыл бұрын
im trying luna oil for the first time right now. the smell is awful... the oil is lovely. 2 drops per application, rub it around your hands then press it into your face. it contains retinoids which are good for treating acne and age lines but they can be extremely harsh on sensitive skin. like the previous commenter said: buy it from a retailer that allows returns because for how much it costs it would be such a shame if you have an adverse reaction and cant return it

I always invest in skincare, it's much more important so whenever I have the money I would spend on my skin to treat and protect rather than on makeup.
@anditspaganpoetry9 жыл бұрын
+latifam55 I suppose what the original poster might be talking about is the amount of products and chemicals used rather than just the quality. I agree with you when you talk about the importance of investing in skin care, but I think some people go a bit overboard and think that it means spending a lot of money on a lot of products, assuming more $$$ equals better skin. When probably the best thing is to invest in just a couple of good quality products. I used to have a "typical beauty guru skin care routine" for years and it was actually to my detriment - I developed perioral dermatitis which is caused by an overuse of products and was on and off antibiotics for years :(
