Grew up in Philly back then and remember how big him and Steady were on the local scene (even remember Steady B and Will Smith battling on the radio once). I'll never forget when I heard about the bank robbery/shooting. The story about the cop getting shot and killed hit the news but for a couple days it wasn't known who did it. Then I remember a couple days later at a job I was working at the time, one of my coworkers was like "Did you hear about Steady B and Cool C? They were the ones who shot that cop". I was absolutely floored. My cousin called me later that night and we couldn't believe it. Such a sad ending, both these dudes has great potential.

I don't think Cool C joined C.E.B. because he "Wanted It All Too Fast." Cool C and Steady B were like brothers, and because of his loyalty, he gave up his solo career to help out his friends by joining the group.
