If you get the chance to go to one of Maggie Stiefvater's book talks, do it!! I finished Dream Thieves the day of her book talk and picked up my copy of The Raven King. She avoids all spoilers during her book talk. Her book talk is by far my favorite that I've been too so far!! She's very charismatic, hilarious, and entertaining!! I'm currently working on Blue Lily Lily Blue and loving it!!

I had seen The Gracekeepers around so many times before and idk what it was but it was one of those books that i just always dismissed for no reason. But now hearing the synopsis for the first time i like really wanna read it?? I'm totally adding it to my TBR now! x

Yes for Mistborn! I totally agree about the beginning 100 pages. Keep going; the stuff that happens is great. I'm currently reading Between Shades of Gray, a WWII historical fiction book that's upsetting and interesting at the same time

I'm listening to The Raven Boys on audiobook, and I'm loving it so far. I also really need to read the Mistborn trilogy. I've been meaning to get to it forever, but there are just so many books. I actually just read Warbreaker, so I'm definitely in the mood for more Brandon Sanderson.

There's also a BBC Emma mini series (4 eps) from 2009 and it's amazing!! I recommend you watch it after finishing the book 😁😁

I haven't read Emma yet, but I really want to. It sounds like such a fun story, and I really love the KZbin series adaptation of it (Emma Approved). Your edition is the one I'd like to own one day!

I couldn't help but notice that you have another copy of the Gracekeepers behind you haha! Or is it the dust jacket only? (I always take it off while reading and put it on my shelf to fill the empty space!) You really inspired me to start reading The Raven Cycle, Emma and the Mistborn trilogy!! I can't wait to finally start all of them.

ugh i couldnt get into the raven series! I love the concept and characters but its too slow moving for me ughh i wanted to like it soo bad but immalways so bored when i pick up a book. I may finish it anyway cuz i do want to know how it ends.

I've heard some people say that it's a bit slow for them but I'd recommend giving it another go! It definitely picks up as it goes on

I've been increasingly disappointed with YA series as well. I'm currently on The Maze Runner series and it's not at all what I had hoped. I might attempt to read Raven Boys then. Hopefully it'll give me some hope for YA series

I'd definitely recommend it for that! Obviously it still reads very much like YA and it has many similar tropes but it has a completely different feel in my opinion. It's just so refreshing! I hope you pick it up and enjoy it 😊

No, unfortunately I'm not on break until June 😭😭😭 I honestly don't have much time to read (especially finals) so I do my best to squeeze in as much as I can between classes and on the weekends!
