First of all, great video! I just wanted to say that when making the Warming video I hope you'll also include the Whisper quest in your analysis as well, as although the rest of the DLC is mid as hell, that mission in particular was what made the whole dlc memorable in my opinion. Just taking a Hive worm god and transforming it into a weapon is such a monkey brain Destiny 2 concept that was really enjoyable.

It's not really important to the story content specifically but I'll give it a mention. 100% a highlight of warmind for sure

When I first played Curse of Osiris I actually didn't mind it. I've been playing the game since D1 released so when I saw two dlcs being released before a big expansion I was expecting House of Wolves quality; a campaign about three missions long, a single strike and a raid/ or arena. To my surprise in curse of osiris we got a story that was longer then House of Wolves, had its own patrol area, two new strikes, and a raid about as long as the original dark below. I was actually pleasantly surprised.

yeah i respect your response to our comments. and this was a good video, and as much as i hate to bash on pretty sights and cool looks, i agree that a lot of me caring was more about enjoying the ride and not actually thinking about the fact that i either didn't understand why we were doing something or didn't care. i enjoyed mercury, and since i had it free i suppose i really don't have a problem with getting weak free content. honestly, id rather get a osiris-tier dlc every now and then to just give us more places to explore, than the endless reuse of old locations and underutilisation of mechanics and lack of updating old content that we currently have to deal with only now and then, though. im not saying every season adding a weak new location and story is good also, massive respect for wanting a multi-game channel. i hope you dont get too discouraged if they dont get as many views as destiny right away, but hopefully they get stronger! as a battlefield fan, if you have anything youd wanna talk about in that area id be happy to watch it too! halo maybe, too

I really respect the honesty here. I think you feel the same way as a lot of other people. The spectacle pulled them away from thinking critically about what was being put in front of them. I actually have a battlefield video on the channel (totally check it out if you havent) it's a topic I'm sure literally no one else has covered

this video is great the only thing i think when i see these videos is how late they have came like this video would be alot more helpful during the dlcs lifetime but this is a thing that the entire destiny community loves to do its dwel on the past when they get bored instead of going outside or playing a different game.

2:42 to answer your question, The Nine don’t have physical bodies or corporeal forms. They’re made up of dark matter and such, ergo they can’t do much of anything in the physical world outside of their emissary. In Red War we have to go up to the Almighty and disable it because of its connection to the core of our sun, if we destroyed The Almighty it would’ve set off a chain reaction which would have killed our sun too. This was a failsafe mechanism, but also just a side effect of draining a sun’s power through the Almighty, if you destroy it that power just goes boom with it causing mass destruction. The Nine are made from our nine planets (yes Pluto counts in this case) so destroying the sun would create a massive problem for them as it would eliminate our solar system… The member of The Nine who allowed for the Red Legion attack was trying to further The Nine’s goals of reaching Paracausality (the name for the powers of Light and Darkness) they wanted to see if Ghaul could forcibly take the light and what would happen if so; they did not account for the Almighty which directly put them at risk as well… So since they couldn’t destroy the Almighty without destroying themselves and they didn’t have physical forms to infiltrate the almighty and disable it, they had to essentially sit back and watch our Guardian do everything after they sabotaged us, getting them in danger in the first place.

Strangely enough I was incredibly fond of curse of Osiris. Despite its flaws I enjoyed the spectacle and story. Focus on the vex and infinite forest I truly enjoyed. Of course there wasn’t much of an improvement to the gameplay but still I digress

Honestly curse of Osiris had an interesting idea’s for a campaign, and I think Panoptes has one of the coolest vex design, but the execution of those ideas just absolutely sucked

I never got to experience Curse of Osiris for myself (and thank fuck for that, I dare say), but all my Destiny veteran friends are getting war flashbacks whenever the topic of that expansion comes up. And oh good gods, you did an excellent job of showcasing exactly how bad it was. /(o_o\) So much potential, wasted...

I didn't mention it in the video, but I actually about a bundle with warmind and curse of Osiris just before Forsaken came out for like $12. And I was just sitting in a call with my friend laughing uncontrollably at just how awful it was. I'll see if I can find a recording and put it in my warmind video

The infinite forest is just so dogshit as a concept. It's portrayed as this big computer that simulates futures and the past but whenever bungie wants it to its an actual time machine that can affect the world. So dumb

Didn't add much ? It did bring more exotics than some seasonal shxt we currently have, more strikes, an amazing story with one of the coolest boss fight ( but too easy ). And we had to really grind, to "forge" the weapons. So, just shut up. Take a step back.
@Nanokk_
@Nanokk_ Жыл бұрын
The current (seasonal shxt) also doesn't cost as much as curse of Osiris. The boss fight sucks, the strikes are incredibly mid, and the story is laughably bad. Maybe if you watched the video and didn't make a comment after I said something mean about your precious DLC you would understand why I make some of these claims. Cope harder
@donogoodatgames
@donogoodatgames 2 ай бұрын
Each to their own, but it cost more than current seasons cost and as for the rest of your points: - A portion of the exotics it brought to the game were just brought forward from D1. - The 'strikes' that you talk of were literally just story missions that were adapted into strikes to save time and effort. - The story had pretty much 0 stakes and was just based around something (The Infinite Forest) that had an interesting idea, but which ultimately didn't positively affect gameplay in any meaningful way, and the boss fight is incredibly forgetful, and wasn't even as good as the Calus fight, and that's saying something. - I did kind of enjoy having to do a bit of a grind for the first time in D2, but the grind for those weapons was really boring, and the weapons themselves were absolutely nothing to write home about. My favourite part of the destiny franchise is raiding with my clan, and I've got to say that the experience we had for Eater of Worlds was as disappointing in a gameplay sense, as the rest of the DLC. One positive I will give it, is that the area that we fought the boss was really cool visually, but other than that.....not great at all
