@Trump4Prison2021 Rick Baker was gone by the time that scene was shot. The sequence in the elevator was all Baker. That, is hands down, the best/most intense scene in the movie. Secondly, Baker has very little control over what the director decides to do with his creations. So, even if Baker was directly involved with that scene---- the argument is dead on arrival, and immutably irrelevant. Plus, if you're actually going to criticize Baker's body of academy award winning work---- I hardly doubt you'll comprehend much (by way of argument and rational thought ). So, let this comment remain for the benefit of everyone else. Something tells me that you'll benefit very little from it.

I would want the guys who are doing Scream 5, to do a Cursed remake. Have Kevin rewrite the way he wants, have Skeet come back, have Wes’s vision come to life and have it be one of the most iconic movies for the new age. This film isn’t good but, it isn’t awful either. Like, it’s funny. I consider it a dark comedy tbh and I think that’s where it got fucked up.

Damn! So Harvey raped the script??! That's gotta be a new one for him! "...Slimy f^ker!". What a screwed up idea to ever allow a Weinstein to overwrite Wes Craven when it comes to film making or story writing.. It's a shame Wes didn't get to finish his original vision. It seems 'Cursed'.
@brajeshsingh23913 жыл бұрын
well seeing this movie if definitely appears that this is a very choppy movie. It does not have a continuous narrative and there are 3 or 4 segments which have been put together and linked by a set of common characters. There is this whole brother sister relationship, then there is love or relationship story of the lead actress, and finally there is the mystery of the identity of the werewolf. The narrative just goes from one segment to another and it just does not fit or make any sense. The acting is also very ordinary and apart from one elevator scene there are hardly any scares. By the climax this movie really feels apart. The climax itself seems completely disjointed from the rest of the movie. I have a feeling this was an attempt to make a werewolf movie in the Scream mold. A modern day story of werewolf with young characters and contemporary settings. Which could have been pretty good idea. I mean werewolf mystery with young characters and their relationship could have been really good. But the movie just does not have the cast, or character development, or the screenplay to come anywhere close to Scream. The lead actress misses the charm and appeal of Neve Campbell. And the rest of the cast is way too ordinary with the performances like those in TV show. Only Jesse Eisenberg manages to hold your attention. I give this a 4.5. It promises a lot with its start like it would be a cheesy horror movie with the right amount of scares and suspense. It becomes boring and messy by the end.

@@Nelly_platinum Thats part of it the other part is the demand isn't strong. The horror community isn't as big as the DC fan base so the demand isn't as strong for the Craven cut as it was for the Snyder cut so it makes it harder to get released because they don't think they would get enough of a return. I do watch it at least once in a while, maybe three or four times in a year. I LOVE Christina. I would've love to see Skeet and Christina acting together, and performing the plot that Wes initially worked. Even more, Wes was a genius, and that plot could've been able to redefine again. Stupids Weinsteins were so above their own intelligence and so overwhelmed by their own ego. I love most of Wes Craven works, maybe not all of his movies are great, but he was amazing with an incredibly vision while creating a movie. @boomstickcritique90211 ай бұрын
The released version in the Unrated cut is Scream with Werewolfs. I don't think the R rated cut is terrible it simply has nothing that stands out. The studio wanted Craven and Kevin Williamson to pretty much turn the film into Scream with Werewolfs and make it a horror comedy Kevin Williamson movie like all the rest of the movies he writes. I think for what the flick is that it's fine it just doesn't meet the expectations of what fans had for a Wes Craven film because he's redoing himself again after Scream.

I wouldn't be so sure on never getting a directors cut. The original version was 90 percent finished except the ending which they could use footage from the other cuts to make it work. They also filmed an entirely different second cut that was in fact totally finished except some minor digital effects. Both of these versions exist and the producer who was a friend of Cravens has both cuts. The alternate cuts can be released it's simply trouble with the rights owners that would have to be paid off.

The second filmed version focused more on the romance and had Joshua Jackson sacrificing himself at the end to stop the Curse by making Christina Ricci cut his head off with a sword giving the film that sad Werewolf type ending. The released cut in PG 13 is pretty terrible because it isn't cohesive. Pause...how the Hell do you fire Rick Baker from a werewolf movie?

Joanie only became a werewolf, cause she was scratched in the back. You even showed the clip,(in the Ellie dream sequence).

WTF happened to 'Cursed'? Personally, I think the worst decision was taking the hard R production and downgrading it to PG13. It wasn't the first time it ruined a movie and it wouldn't be the last. If you're gonna make an R rated movie, make and R rated movie. If you're gonna make a PG13 move, make a PG13 movie. You can also bump up to an R easier than shifting down to a PG13 but that still comes with the risk of failure. I saw the movie in he theater and didn't think it was really bad but it certainly wasn't as good as it should have been. It really isn't even worth watching on TV if you happen to find it on, though it is still better than most of the zero-star SyFy Channel schlock of today.

It wasn't good but I kinda liked it somehow . I felt it needed a sequel lol. It would have been great i think if Barker and Craven had been able to be involved like they were supposed to be .
