I also tried cursor, I was creating CMS, I am not pro at filament, but I developed all the modules successfully, the only issue I am currently facing with fileupload component in filament, where it is not loding multiple images in edit form that is uploaded when somebody creates post or page. Overall, I liked the cursor very much.

Wow, discount code is much appreciated. Right when I was planning to subscribe. I like AI for simplifying the work, but code review is really necessary at every step. I think it's a good productivity tool, but too many people try to use it as a go to option for everything.

Povilas thank you, very interesting video. I use AI tools a lot, and I like how they speed-up the development. Hotel booking system is a pretty obvious/know system to generate. This allowed you to accept all migrations almost as is. (however I would argue if putting amenities into a room type as text is a good idea (many to many will fit better) Another thing is try to create a project with some more custom requirements. Prompts will need to be way more detailed, and then we also need to go and check it all. With current level of AI tools, I prefer to do that fundamental part manually, create the base under full control.

Yes, these are exactly my thoughts after this course: fundamentals manually, detailed prompt, and AI as ASSISTANT. Fun fact: later in this course, I do specifically what you're suggesting: refactor amenities to many-to-many. With prompting Cursor to generate the code for it.

we need agent/tool to take screenshots do actions. 100% automation. (basically : think -> actions -> observe cycle)

Is any way to define the file .curserrule which is the prompt for this project from Cursor AI?
@LaravelDailyКүн бұрын
Yes, you can just add the file to your main folder, it's just called differently from what you said: .cursorrules

Sir,if we reach 500 quota, what is the diferent with fast premium?
@LaravelDaily2 күн бұрын
To be honest, I haven't reached those 500 so I haven't tested it myself, but from what I've read from others, then you fallback to SLOW queries with other LLMs like o1-mini or internal Cursor model which are MUCH worse. Also, you may enter your own Claude API key in the settings and then it would charge you according to Claude's pricing.

For big project I felt the windsurf AI slightly better (by price too) although you need to use more prompts. Cursor doing a lots of headaches removing existing functionalities (hallucinations) when the project going to be bigger and bigger.

For now I'm happy with Cursor results, but will try out Windsurf, too, in the future. I've been reading mixed impressions about both online.

+1 for Windsurf, awesome product. I am also using the Codeium extensions for VS Code and Sublime Text, for smaller edits on projects I did not start using Windsurf, and it's pretty good. It is also a pretty decent "assistant" when using a clean Sublime Text session for notes and plans in either plain text or markdown.

I'm not using vscode. I'm using Cursor, which is a fork of vscode.

You'll be outperformed by those who use it. I'm talking from experience and that's why i started to adapt with the technologies that appears. If makes you do things faster then there's no harm.
