My late husband John Buffington, SNCC guy, a leader and civil rights activist, saw Mr. Mayfield, Marvin, Icca Hays, and Aretha yea perform,,, back in the day when you could hang and not be worried about violence, poet, writer, producer, and just a badass, I am in my 70ssssss. Man, the world lost these brothers we lost Frankie Beverly. Their music is just as relevant today as it was in de day,,,u dig? As Franklin Beaverly would say. oh Gil Scott
