re:@Rick Corbett Jr.// I thank god for you I am glad he created your heart & soul because that is the nicest thing ever said about a black artist and I couldn't agree the more "he certainly was awesome & truly missed" besides my mom was a devoted fan whom actually had the pleasure to meet him back in 1972 three months after my birth I remember her sharing this story with me when I was a teenager that my dad was jealous for a moment but then he finally got over it which I thought was adorable take care peace..

Wonderful musical composer as well. We don't see this kind of creativity anymore. We see either like free-form avant garde ultra-creative stuff or boring, generic stuff we've heard a thousand times. This kind of creativity, which isn't totally inside the box or totally outside the box, but transcends the boundaries of the box in a way that extends the boundaries of the box, is rare. In other words, making unusual and different but familiar and relatable music. The more familiar and accessible, the more people will borrow from it and be influenced by it. The more unusual it is, the more it expands our minds. It's hard to thread that needle but marvelous when it happens. That's how music evolves properly.
